Sen's Fortress is the area unlocked by ringing the bells. It is considered one of the harder areas in the series, it has arrow traps and pendulum blades, main enemies are snake people, the cobra headed ones have lightning attacks, just don't rush through the swinging blades and you can calmly walk through them ironically

@NotPolarEX you need atleast 1 humanity (top left large number) with reversed hollowing in order to kindle bonfires. This will up your estus count from 5 to 10. Once you kill a boss named pinwheel in the catacombs, you get "the rite of kindling" which allows you to kindle bonfires up to 20 estus flasks

I know you already committed to the sword but the black knights halbert is absolutely cracked

The black night sword carry me through the entire game. Very easy. You don't have to worry about getting any other weapon

It was the scythe for me but I don't think you want to suffer in the catacombs to get it. I recommend watching a video of which two contractions to activate just know it hits hard, can ignore shields and causes bleed😎

Kill Havel to get his ring to increase your maximum equip load. It's an easy fight as long as you parry and backstab him only.

Regarding the lock on you can only only roll in 4 directions while locked on to an enemy

The Dark Knight sword scales with strength, as well as the black knight halberd. And the make more damage to demons. You need a good armor (in blighttown there is the crimson robe) and actually you can win the game. All upgrade with blinking titanites. 60 pcs in total.. for everything. You should visit the GREAT HOLLOW to farm it...

The first ember is found in the depths, progress through the game normally and it will be found in a chest where there are two female, yes female, butchers you’ll know when you get there. To get the upgraded ember you need to drain the water in new londo ruins first but you’re nowhere near there Idk if anyone mentioned but you can shoot the tail off the drake on the bridge for a a pretty good beginning weapon that you don’t need high stats for. Also kindling bonfires will cost 1 humanity but will allow you to regain 10 estus instead of 5. Practice parrying this is by far the easiest souls game to get it down in and will make normal enemies as well as guys like Havel and the black Knights a cake walk, the secret to parrying is to press the parry button after the enemy starts his attack and right before it is about to about to hit you, it is probably the most “hitscan”Ish parry in all the souls games, definitely the easiest one to react to. Also pyromancy scale only with the pyromancy flame, no int or faith needed. All you need to do is upgrade the flame and you’ll receive a lot more damage the best spells to compliment a non magic build. Playing not locked on gives you more freedom of movement both for dodging and attacking, in ds1 you only get 4 directions to move when locked on front, back, left, right, however when you unlock not only can you move in more Omni directional way but also change the direction of your attacks on a dime,like ds2, this especially comes in handy when you wield a slow weapon versus a fast enemy you can change your direction and catch them. It takes some getting used to adjusting the camera at the same time but it’s not that bad Summons only pop up when you are human. Divine ember allows you to create divine weapons which kill skeletons in one go, very much comes in handy in the catacombs. The depths are located at the beginning of the bridge with the dragon, right after soldier but just before the dragon triggers on the bridge there is a door to the right. Boi said “I got half a nerve” 😭😭 Fire keeper souls are used to upgrade the estus flask, the easiest fire keeper to reach is the one in firelink so long as lautrec has been killed, if not there are other fire keepers to uprgrade as well with bonfires, being the chaos lady sister and the girl in the brass armor in anor londo

When you're not hollow, you can summons other players or NPCs, you get stat boosts, and you get other players invading you and taking all your stuff; other players are worse than bosses.

2:00 u need to be human to summon. to become human u use a humanity item to gain a humanity point (the number next to your health bar) then use it to restore humanity at the bonfire. once ur human mode u can also use another humanity point to kindle the bonfire and get +5 flask chugs for that bonfire specifically

@@NotPolarEX I don’t fully understand this part tbh. u will mainly find them as items or drops in the world but I think killing regular enemies gives you a small percentage of a full humanity point so when you kill a certain amount of enemies you will gain a humanity point. I’m p sure different enemies give you different amounts of humanity I think

​​@@NotPolarEXIf you want to farm humanity you need the gold serpent ring (found in Sen's Fortress) and kilk the rats in depths. That's early humanity farm. Enemies sometimes do drop humanity but it is very rare and you will see the numbers changed on the top left of health bar when some enemies give you humanity. Mostly you pick it up or buy it off merchant. The closest one is actually pretty close to fire link shrine but you have to kill Capra Demon too open the shortcut. To open that door in Darkroot Garden click buy on Blacksmith menu and check his ware. There is one item which is key. That area is also a very good early game soul farm although the enemies can be hard unless you know how to fight them. Farm souls in that area and then get the great club to +5. You can buy shards from Blacksmith in undead burg. Grear club works really well against enemies in Sen's Fortress. You probably wouldn't need it anywhere else since it is pretty slow as well. But it bonks.

That summon you saw (in the first couple of minutes). That was because you reversed hollowing at a bonfire. You can only summon help while you are human (reversed hollowing). There are some questionable npc summons, and some omg where was this guy before type summons.

For Sen's Fortress easy tip is to get the Great club do some farming and get enough titanite shards to upgrade it to at least +3. And bonk those snake men to death. Those enemies are weak to strike damage. Claymore is pretty decent against those but great club simply bonks them out of existence and try to get the bow from where you killed that Black Knight and got the halberd. There is a shield and bow there. You have to use bow at some places to make it a much easier and enjoyable experience. As long as you are a Str/Dex build you should be able to effectively use the maximum number of weapons in the game.

Go back to firelink shrine scale the ruins there and sit in the crows nest, if you can beat the boss you get access to find a rare item, and merchant that sells boss weapons is in the depths
