Its been a while since ive seen someone actually fight ceaseless. Its been fun watching someones first playthrough of dark souls. I'm getting nostalgic for my first time playing through it.

dont worry about it, it's a random drop, i got the black knight sword in one of my playthroughs and it carried me hard

Use whatever weapons you want my guy, play however you like. They're good weapons but also incredibly slow and unwealdy due to always hitting every obstacle (the black knight glaive though is perfect). People like gimping themselves for no reason and then brag about it when there's nothing to brag about to begin with, like, people have beat this game with dance mats and banana controllers, beating it with a weapon that isn't a black knight weapon kind of falls pretty far down the list in terms of impressiveness. The bossfights were never actually that hard to begin with, the world itself on the other hand...

@@FIREHIVE Trigger the boss fight, run back to the boss gate. Its left arm will get stuck between two broken pillars. Hit it 3-4 times and the boss goes down for good.

There's always one area in each Dark Souls that's literal hell to get through. The trek to Quelaag is that area in DS1. Good job getting through it!

I don't understand the guys who say the soulslike games are hard and they play them because they are hard. They were never hard. They are just a little bit challenging and don't take you by the hand like other games do. So there is a lot you need to figure out, before you can beat the game. Its like one of the easier nes games with better graphics to be honest, but did you ever play a hard nes game like ninja gaiden for example? That shit is hard.

I somehow agree, the older games were indeed hard, I guess Dark Souls just became a new formula, and let's not forget it is released in 2011, the older games were released 10-20 years before that, so Dark Souls's audience is not necessarily the audience of those games, the people saying that it is hard and play it because it really is are probably people that didn't even play those old games. And also because there wasn't something like that before, sure there were the retro 2d hard games, but nothing like Dark Souls in terms of graphics which play a big role.

Oh it is :'), but the thing with these kind of games is that I like to explore everywhere, and I found the New Londo Ruins elevator > Valley of Drakes entrance to Blighttown just by exploring around, waay before the one in the Depths, and I left then because as you've seen I had 40k souls I didn't want to lose and I didn't know if there would be a bonfire at the bottom of that pit so I returned to Firelink Shrine and I also stopped recording for that day there (the content for one video is not always recorded in one day, sometimes it takes 2-3 days of recording for one video). So in this video it may seem that I just went back and then went the other way, but for me it was 2 days in between: go back to firelink shrine to not lose 40k souls, stop recording for that day, start recording again 2 days later and I just chose the valley of drake entrance because it was way shorter than the depths one, didn't think it makes a difference :')

@@FIREHIVE well that makes sense, I also just finished it a week ago and in fact I thought the easy way was the other one, because they kept poisoning me. At the end of the day I really liked the video and watched it all, very good job.
