Going back to vids like this is so interesting, we didn't know much about Elden ring, yet we had so much speculation about the game and the pvp. Besides, sometimes i really miss the hit stun system in this game and how viable daggers used to be. Dark souls 3 is truly one of the games ever

daggers are really really good in Elden Ring. Not top meta, but absolutely viable.

a dark build was my 1st pvp build and my most used.. i loved it.. loved the dagger play regens/tears without needing to swap rings. insane crits not needing to buff was good for me at the time as well.. 1 less thing to worry about as ur always at max dmg... but i couldnt get my parries at pontiff like i could on random invasions obviously.. so i actually learned hot to hard swap solely because i wanted to parry.. not super smooth Mewman type shit.. but like that 1st parry in this video.. i stopped using it for a long time cause i thought it got nerfed.. i didnt know about the unscaled shit... just assumed they has insane builds and phantoms taking advantage of summon range to snipe meta level invaders.. //edit: was actually my 2nd build.. i always make a quality first to try all the weapons i can since 2009 in demons souls

At the end of the day its a build with 40 faith and 40 intelligence bare minimum. I get what your saying but it doesn't mean the OP "ness" of this build wasn't shown here.

After ER, I never realized how clunky DS3 is (atleast in comparison). Even if the PvP meta is arguably alot worse in ER, I have to appreciate how seamlessly smooth it is. I imagine I'll be saying the same thing about ER when Fromsoft comes out with the leaked "Spellbound" game.
