I can relate to the first one. The first time I ever went to a beach, the water was crystal clear and fish swimming all around, I decided to do some snorkeling. I swam all over the beach and eventually out to where the ground dropped off and the water turned black. At that moment, I remembered that like 90% of the ocean is unexplored and absolutely anything could swim out of that blackness and I'd never be seen again. I stayed in waist deep water for the rest of the trip
