Dark Movie Theories That’ll Ruin The Movie For You..

In todays video we talk about dark movie theories in popular films and how people put a sinister spin to a seemingly innocent movie. These theories include that titanic isn't about a film about two lovers but instead a delusional girl hallucinating, Home Alone a cult classic holiday film is theorized to be the origins of Jigsaw from the infamous horror film series SAW, and many more innocent looking movies with dark fan theories. Note these are just fan theories and aren't confirmed.

“Mary Poppins is the same species as Pennywise” is fun and all but has anyone considered that Pennywise could be the same species as the Cat In The Hat, with the Cat feasting on fun instead of fear? I mean, have you SEEN what the cat is capable of?! In the live-action movie, at least, he’s on a similar (if not larger) power level than Pennywise.

Honestly I think the Toy Story Holocaust theory is pretty insensitive. I can’t imagine being the child of a survivor or actually being a survivor and seeing people online equate the suffering the Jews, the disabled, and the Romani people to some cartoon toys nearly being burned when they accidentally fall in the garbage.

In Titanic the reason why there's no record of Jack is because he won his ticket in a game of poker, so he's essentially taken the ticket of another person (a Swede I believe) so records would show a Swede had boarded the ship not an American called Jack Dawson

I saw the original Willy Wonka as a very young child and the movie terrified me so badly that my mother asked me why I didn’t seem to like the movie and she said my response was , because he was killing those kids. I read years later in junior high school while researching the book and author that he actually did not like children and that there really were dark under tones in the book and movie hinting that Wonka didn’t like children either, saw them as bratty and selfish so he wanted to see if he could find even one child that was not like that. The theory was the author was in a way implying that Wonka either did kill the kids or that he at least wanted too and that both Gene Wilder and Johnny Depp both integrated that into the character when they played them. Now I don’t think the author ever came out confirming any of this but it was a long time ago and maybe he did and I just can’t remember. Just thought I would throw that out there as it was odd that as a small child, I interpreted the movie in such a dark way.

Yeah, I personally think they are interesting but also annoying at the same time. Sometimes is genuinely works but there are other dumb theories with 0 evidence to back it up. Like that one adventure time theory saying that. It goes like Finn is a boy in the real world hes bullied depressed and whatever. He has a pet dog named Jake that dies. His dog was the only thing in the world that was nice to him. The dog is dead so Finn commits suicide and survives but is in a coma. So the whole show is him dreaming while in a coma. It's always a coma... There's nothing at all that backs it up its just trying to make adventure time "dark".

hate to be that guy but Nightmare Before Christmas was directed by Henry Selick, not Burton. Burton produced it and wrote the story however. Also to poke another hole in that theory, the animated Frakenweenie was based on a film with the same name from 1984, a decently long time before the other two films. Burton wrote the 1984 version too though, so I mean the dates don't mean that they _aren't_ apart of the same overall story. it just makes it seem more unlikely to me.

About the first one on Titanic, you mention the fact that everyone acknowledges him, but you also have go remember that this is rose telling the story in present day. What if she did hallucinate Jack and convince herself even in her older age that Jack did exist and also hallucinated everyone interacting with him. There's also theories that suggest rose isn't a reliable story teller because of her remembering and recalling facts that she would not know of because she wasn't there (jack winning the tickets from a couple of Swedish guys for example). Honestly Titanic is one of my all time favorite movies and it's interesting to hear the different fan theories on it

A few things) Titanic: There's no record of Jack probably because of that fact that he took someone else's ticket to get onto the boat via gambling so technically he was never on it. Home Alone/Saw: what the heck...blue eyed, blonde doesn't equal the same person. While Kevin could've changed his name, what are the odds of that and sharing something a character from another movie series does doesn't equal same person. Coraline: a) can't tell if your/his pronunciation of the mc's name is due to a joke from the movie and fans of it (it's pronounced: cOre-a-line) b) the whole "it's an afterlife/everyone's dead" theory about any film is just overused so that would explain why people don't like it. Willy Wonka: the kids literally show up at the very end of the movie very much alive when Charlie, Wonka and Charlie's Grandpa are flying via the glass elevator......While yes certain parts of his factory appear to be meant for a certain number of people, the kids don't ya know...

I think Doc Brown knew that the time machine would work. He likes to be flashly. When Marty asked about the time machine, doc said if you're going to make a time machine out of a car, do it with style. Later on He explains how the stainless steel frame of the car is perfect for time traveling. He named the cosmetic reasoning for the car before explaining the practical reason. How he revealed the car to Marty was all flash. I think the first time they did the experiment, they were off to the side, so the car wouldn't hurt them if it failed. Then Marty goes back in time and showed the past doc the video of the experiment. Doc saw where the car disappeared and in the future, positioned himself and Marty in front of where the car would disappear to make the video look cooler.

In the original film, Mr. Wonka said that the kids will be alright, when they go home, they'll be back to the normal terrible old selves, but a little wiser for the aware. In the remake, they all survived the traps. Most of them leads them to permeant physical appearances, except for Veruca, for she was just covered in trash (which all she needs is a bath). For Augustus, he covered in chocolate, possible turned in chocolate himself (in the book, the only change was he became skinny). For Violet, she is back to her normal weight, but her hair and skin remains blue, and became more flexible. For Mike, after he was stretched by the taffy puller machine, he is thin as wire and it now about 10 ft tall. In the musical, Violet and Verica did die. Violet exploited after turning into a blueberry and Veruca was ripped apart by the group of squirrels.

Here's one. In the game Jumpstart Baby, you can find an image that says "Defcon 4:The Alisa Files" Defcon is an actual alert system used by the US military to tell people the chance of a nuclear war. The smaller the number, the higher the chance. 5 means that there's no way that it will happen. 1 means it's imminent.

There is another theory in Coraline that says that they are the same story as Pennywise just in different universes. We know that Coraline's author took a lot of inspiration from Stephen King. The Other Mother is Pennywise while the Cat is the Turtle and that is why the Cat is helping Coraline, to defeat the witch on that kid

Shrek theory is flawed-Donkey actually IS from a fairytale called The Town Musicians of Bremer, about an assortment of farm animals deciding they’re musicians and form a group, traveling around Germany singing songs-One of the animals from this tale is a donkey, and that would also explain why Donkey knows so many songs and has such a charismatic personality-he’s a performer.

Also not to mention for the saw/home alone theory they take place roughly 10-15 years apart from one another. Not only by release but in universe as well. Home alone taking place in the early 90’s (while Kevin is 10 or so) and the first saw moving (depending on your source) taking place in either 2001 or 2004. So at that point Kevin would have only been maybe in his 30’s which doesn’t line up with Kramer who is in his early 50’s at the time of the first saw movie. 6:45

The Sandy drowned theory and went to heaven is interesting. Though what if we switched it around the flying car represents her coming back to life. "She nearly drowned" means Sandy is not dead. What if the school and town is purgatory and everyone except the two main characters are dead... It would explain a lot. Grease is about Sandy being resuscitated to life after she nearly drowned.

The reason people usually dislike coma or afterlife theories is because they are usable for every show to explain any random event that doesn’t make sense because it is a show or film and doesn’t follow the same logic as reality, admittedly some are better than others like the CORALINE (not Caroline) one but they are few and far between.

The corps bride, Franken weenie and the nightmare before Christmas probably could be debunked but not because of the last name being different Victor could have easily changed his last name, same as Jack from the titanic he probably gave rose a different name because he didn't want her to know the real him and essentially scare her away

Mary Poppins is the same species as Pennywise” is fun and all but has anyone considered that Pennywise could be the same species as the Cat In The Hat, with the Cat feasting on fun instead of fear? I mean, have you SEEN what the cat is capable of?! In the live-action movie, at least, he’s on a similar (if not larger) power level than Pennywise.

I like thinking of fan theories. On Titanic, my favorite theory is that we are seeing Old Rose's memories from over 80 years later. Most people's memories get fuzzy after that long. Rose does not remember what lake Jack named or a lot of details about him when she is old and close to dying. For Home Alone, I like to imagine that Kevin's father got super rich inventing a super invincibility formula and Harry and Marv stole it from one of the customers or an army base and consumed it.

Allow me to debunk: 1. Other people survived the Titanic. If anyone confirms the existence of Jack then he was real. If its only Rose, then she could have made 99% of it and the other characters up 2. Donkey is too calm to have been a boy before. Also kids turning into Donkeys loose their voices.... 3. It shows more how Burton lacks imagination, then that its linked. 4. This is true. But Kevin doesnt kill the intruders, the neighbour does. 5. Doc was just insane and overconfident. His inventions didnt fail per say, they just never amount to what he wanted. Also Einstein was the first living organism to travel... not necessarily the first thing to travel. Also OUTATIME means outside of time, not Out Off Time. This is by far the stupidest theory out of all of them. 6. Pennywise is Mary after years of child pestering and noise abuse. 7. If the other side is hell, and the other mother is trying to take Coralines soul to hell... does that make Coraline as a ghost - double dead, and hell - double hell? People hate these theories because it demonstrates clearly that someone didnt watch the film. 8. Hes not a serial killer, hes just psychotic (does not care) 9. Shes not the only one. Shes just the best one. 10. So... Jon Travolta is also dead and going to heaven? 11. There...is...literally... a scene with Lucius Fox... where they explained this. .... HOW IS THIS A THEORY??? Do you guys even watch these films???? 12. Whoever made this theory is an insult to the Holocaust survivors. Its nitpicking little details to connect an unrelated idea. its like going... "mickey mouse has yellow shoes, the sun is yellow... ergo mickey mouse is the sun"

15:52 well for that dark knight scene the movie actually does tell you what was happening in this scene. tbh its not so much a theory as it was mentioned about 30 minutes into the movie. but alfred was talking to bruce earlier in the movie where before the events of batman begins when bruce left and he disappeared. alfred would go to a cafe and he would sit at a table and look over and he would imagine bruce being with his girlfriend or his wife in this case it was selina kyle. and alfreds exact words was. he knew that he made it as in he was alive. also the movie mentions the autopilot had been repaired as well so he ended up using autopilot and ejecting. also a 4th movie was planned but christian bale turned it down resulting in movie being cancelled. but good video though. love your content as well just found your channel and subscribed

Where did you get the idea that those 3 movies all had the same director (Tim Burton)? Anyway, Doc Brown knew Marty wouldn't die, because he was visited by him in the past and was told the situation in which it happened (the testing of the DeLorean), which also gave him the information that the time machine WOULD work. So, Doc knew there would be no problem.

These are fun theories. Reminds me of the theory that Breaking Bad is a kind of "prequel" of sorts to Malcolm In The Middle, suggesting Bryan Cranston's BB character goes into WitSec (?) and his MITM family became his cover. I may have some details wrong, as I heard this many months ago, and as I really did not watch either show, my knowledge is limited to begin with - but there was definitely a fun little theory kicking about which tied those two shows together.

She believed she was pregnant with some famous guys kid and she was being chased by cops. She needed 16 days in a hospital to get right again. This happened after both our children were born. Other than those two episodes she is and has been stable for the 18 years we have been together. Rose could have been in a similar state. I like the Tim Burton movie (Frankenweenie + Corpse Bride + TNBC) "triology" theory, even with the minor conflicting details. Even if all the similarities are likely just Burton recycling ideas rather than exhausting his creative juices on all-new concocts every single time, the idea that they "might" be connected or represent some evolutionary checkpoint for characters/events is fun to kick around.

12:17 people hate these theories mainly the comas and dreams as it essentially makes the entire story, all the unique characters and their development, a total waste or let down to the reader as the author can’t usually write a satisfactory or at least an actual ending to a story
