As flim producers, you need to remember that your fans use this as a learning platform. Please, make sure and inform them well.Trauma is never healed that quickly. Also an abuser does not care about anyone. His or someone elses child. So please stop making look as if his children excaped being abuse. I would believe him forgiving his mum, but never letting her into his space that easily. His hurt and abuse was deeeeeeeeeep❤❤❤❤❤❤

He wouldnt completely allow her in his space. He will set boundaries. He might have forgiven his mum though but he will need to forgive to move on. Thats the most important thing.... He needed to forgive her to have a healthy relationship with a woman that he loves.....

Omg am in tears. That's why parents listen to your kids dont ignore them . Cause am working in a children home and trust each of them have a story and its sad

This woman reminds of my parents. I completely blocked them out of my life. They, just like her, started to apologizing when their money started to run out. And church people better not talk about forgiveness! I forgave them. I will NOT RECONCILE with them. Forgiveness is NOT reconciliation. Although in this movie they reconcile, victims of abuse should not have to feel like they must forgive their abusers! She was equally responsible for the abuse. I wouldn’t allow anyone that can do this come near me at all. I couldn’t even trust them.

Your absolutely right you can forgive and still keep toxic people out of your life... all of these people who feel otherwise will see the result of having these people around them for the sake of family.. Cain killed his brother able and Jesus himself said your enemies will be those of your own household.. and he also said he didnt come to bring peace but a sword to divide the family the good from the evil.

Abuse is world wide and in the US there maybe a lot of options to report it (teacher, the child and even friends 🧡) but it is world wide . Some societies attolarates it more then others ir have less systems in place to deal with it. But it is world wide and actually accepted in some places.

My second time watching this amazing 🤩 film. Most often the story is about the woman being @ssulted. It's great to shed light on the many men that have been vi©lated and are ashamed to speak on it and address the issues of allowing themselves to be loved... Thank you great producers and directors... #AmazingActors ❤ #Jenny was the true #Gem in this film...

When my mom confront her cousin 's wife, she didn't believed it. I used to babysit there children from time to time. The wife took up for her husband. One party will always be in denial. This made me remembered my self when i was growing up. i was 7 when my mom got married to her Nigerian husband Nwiloka. The man shown me hell. He beat me little or no reason and one day he ironed me. His brothers always touched me sexually. My mom was aware of the beating because she always defended me but she wasn't aware of the other things. I could not tell her because i was scared and he was also beating my mother. i got courage one day and i told the pastor who claimed i was possessed. They gathered 3 Pastors to deliver from sadness and false testimony. They pray for several hours with me and beating me until i had to admit i was a witch before they stopped praying..My mother complained later in church but no one listened. She finally left her Marriage when i was 16.

Hmm in this life the people that can abuse you and get away with it, to the point where you feel empty and dead inside, are people that took you in before. You can’t do anything when they start becoming toxic because you feel they have been good to you before and they feel entitled to treat you anyhow because they’ve helped you before. This often create stagnation in kids life. If it hasn’t happened to you before you won’t understand.
