When they first announced Andreas Vingbäck as their new vocalist i was totally sceptical and when i listened to the album 'Where Shadows Forever Reign' for the first time, i remember going like GOD FUCKIN' DAMMIT this is the best shit I've ever heard. Heljarmadr is the ultimate blackmetal vocalist period.

Ahriman do a lot of cardio, i watched his videos walking a lot of miles every day.

Definitely 1 of the best Black Metal bands out there.

Seriously this band can do no wrong when it comes to making music!!! I never thought anyone could fill Caligula's shoes. I was so wrong!

Very good performance, all of them are amazing musicians.

When you have a relaxed grip and good technique, generating enough velocity is pretty easy. The relaxation is what gives off the impression, that he's not playing the hardest. On top of that, drums sound fuller when you don't bang the absolute shit out of them cause it lets them resonate instead of choking them out. Final touches though, still are the usual bits of studio work such as compression and equalization of course.

I first discovered them back in 2000. Sadly I blew them off at the time though I liked their Slayer cover DSM. Well 18 years later I gave them a second chance and damn I wish I'd paid more attention to them in 2000. Luckily with KZread and Discogs this band can get greater promotion. Hey we all make personal mistakes. DARK FUNERAL FOREVER!!!
