For me the funniest moment od this episode is when Sabrina is roasting Marinette's clothes, while Chloe wears litteraly the same outfit, but differ in colors (skinny jeans, t-shirt, long sleeve jacket, ballerina flats).

Thank you. I always said this too. Miraculer proved this to me. Yes, hawkmoth (because I am talking about season 1 and 2 here) exploits people’s emotions, but what they decide to do with them is their choice which is why they waste time going after people they are angry at instead of focusing on the mission at hand. Also, they choose the level of violence to inflict. Season 4 proves that with rocketear when nino goes to straight murder. Jeez. Anyways, Miraculer showed the most potential of Sabrina becoming a villain. I picture her teaming up with Lila and fighting against Chloe as queen bee. Yes, my head canon had Chloe still be some form of queen bee but her having to earn it. That dynamic would be so interesting. But Sabrina does not deserve a miraculous. She is (sorry to say it) secretly evil.

@@sunglory4488 i semi agree with you. I feel the way she talked to her seemed like she thought Sabrina changed and I feel the episodic format just rebooted what Marinette already knew about her. And she was trying to help Sabrina with Chloe which she normally would not do if she did not trust or dislike someone. But I get the other argument that she is a leader and she would not be ruthlessly mean to someone of they are a means to an end. I would believe that if she did not disrespect Lila or Chloe in her ladybug form. That is why her behavior was odd with Sabrina. She never felt the same with her as she did with Chloe and Lila.

I never realized what month of the year this episode has to take place in, but that’s a good point.

Honestly, while I know some episodes and character moments of season 1 did not age well, and while I know this one has problems for sure, I will say that it at least had the most fun with the characters and testing the waters. I think season 2 was better in terms of creating deeper character growths - some more than others - and seeming to set up that something bigger was on the horizon. But Season 1 will always have a special place in my heart for being something, at the time, new and trying out other things - i.e., superhero duo, potential lovers square dynamics, funny characters when they were allowed to be funny and sassy, and just fun. Kinda makes me want to go back to those days when the show was still young and had so much potential.

Haha the idea of ladybug being the school cleaner 😂 But also have we ever seen Chloe walk anywhere let alone walk home from school?? She always has a chauffer except this one time I guess so Kim can meet her for the plot without us suspecting it’s her beforehand.

When you think about it Dark Cupid was one of the more actually evil villains, the guy turns love into hate and could put the whole world at war

I miss season 1 so much. It wasn’t as interesting, but it was entertaining and well animated! And the characters were actually likeable!

This episode is probably one of my favourites Not becuase of plot or jokes, but becuase on KZread there's a fan remake where everyone pitched in to animate different bits and someone turned everyone into sock puppets (which is the superior choice)

I would like to touch on a loose plot thread in this episode. It happened when Chloe called to complain that her new picture frame didn't match her toilet. This tells me that A. Chloe is hanging Adrien's poster in her bathroom and B. Chloe has a gold toilet. Considering what people do in toilets and how much this costs, why does Chloe still have access to the family expense account?

This is one of the more iconic episodes of season 1. Dark Cupid is such a classic

I love that this show has a character named Miss Bustier.

I remember searching nearly every fact about this show so I was basically updated on what would happen for future seasons. I don't do that anymore mind you. But I feel like I have no say in talking about Marinette's stalkerness when I basically went hulk mode in research.

Another reason for that could, would and probably is that I'm a fanguc writer and I used to write a bunch if fics and one hits of Miraculous. So I researched on them a lot. Heck, I even once knew the characters phone numbers in the series. And made a mini family tree so I wouldn't forget anything. If only I placed that amount of dedication to my home work.

The jeering tone in repeating what she said may be outta character for Adrien but it makes complete sense for a teenager. That's why I love the movie.

I don't think Adrien was being cheeky in the classroom, he was simply bored.

Comment 1: First, this episode made question how far magic can go or how much it can recognize. The true love kiss thing, i get has not aged well. However, it made me question something. Does the magic recognize their alter egos? Like can the magic recognize that Marinette is Ladybug and Adrien is Cat Noir. This can explain why the kiss worked. Adrien is in love with Ladybug and Marinette is in love with Adrien and the magic recognized this even in their superhero forms. I am overthinking it, but it is something that I wondered about.

As a former high schooler I can say that yes this is a topic that is covered when the teachers have nothing else better to do and close to the end of the year but then again I’m American so…. Yeah

I'm a bit baffled by how there is a puddle on the bridge like that. How was it even there? It was a wooden bridge with relatively large gaps between the boards. One even ran right through the puddle. The water should of drained out of it. I also didn't see any other signs of puddles, so that was the only one.

Dark Cupid has a special place in my heart as the episode fans collaborated to remake in their own styles of animation. Seriously, look it up. One of the best things that has ever existed and possibly the best thing to have come out of this fandom.

Dark Cupid was a nice episode in terms of building up some repertoire between Max and Kim and WHO WOULD EVER FALL IN LOVE WITH CHLOE???? Yes she looks gorgeous, but she's bitter and has an AWFUL attitude to boot, so that was just an easy L to give off to Kim. As Dark Cupid, he was effective at almost getting the Miraculouses IF HAWK MOTH USED MORE THAN 10% OF HIS BRAIN!!!! No wonder the guy has failed for 4 SEASONS on getting those 2 miraculouses if he has smooth brained thoughts like this. Also, wow, Cat Noir was brainwashed and manipulated AGAIN? What a shocker that was since it's pretty much expected at this point. Still.......this wasn't a completely bad episode and I enjoyed it as it was

In a later episode he gets shown a picture of their kiss and says he doesn't remember it. Maybe only Plagg was conscious and told him? Or maybe someone else saw and mentioned it? It was funny though that he thought insulting her was worst than literally attacking her.

Comment 2: Season 4 really made me hate Marinette for so many reasons and it made it difficult for me to rewatch these episodes. Ok, I get why Ladybug kissed Cat Noir. She learned about the true kiss thing in class and thought this was the only way to bring him back. Ok fine. What makes me mad and think is selfish on her part is that she did not warn him about this. Him finding out on television the next season is just wrong. Of course, he would freak out about this. If she just warned him and explained her reasoning for the kiss, he will not feel led on later. No I am not saying she is obligated to love Cat Noir. Just be straight with him. And the reason that I bring up her selfishness here is that she only does things that benefit her without acknowledging the consequences. I see it every season now not just season 4. I think scenes like this is why Adrien/Cat Noir feels led on by her sometimes and is confused what to feel. But I will take a few points off for a) she did not know any better and it was season 1 and b) she thought everything went back to normal.
