I feel like two ends of the Dark Country spectrum are at play here (is it a genre already?). On one end you’ve got Blues Saraceno, constantly reminding us of man’s precarious condition and dependency on God’s will, while telling stories bathed in the most horrifying sin that humans can choose to commit. And on the other end you’ve got some dude that just wants others to call him an “outlaw” for the sake of it.
