This is the biggest thing I deal with I’m scared of disappointment of being let down are I’m not worthy of a big blessing so don’t get hurt god I repent of this sin god give me faith to let this go

Jesus clearly told the rich young ruler that the only way to have eternal life is to sell of of his possessions and give it to the poor. Warren has not done that so he is clearly not going to heaven--at least not according to Jesus.

Why is it that whenever I point out something about God that doesn't make sense theists immediately tell me 'I will never understand God with my limited human brain' yet you think you can? You actually think you can see things from god's perspective wow, are you superhuman?

We've been mislead, I was mislead. I couldn't understand how anyone would expect me or someone else to have faith without miracles. The thing is you're not supposed too. DEMAND a miracle. God will show you one. False prophets cannot. Soothsaying and tricks are not miracles. Fear of punishment and excuses are not miracles. Only God can do something extraordinary, and make you believe in that extraordinary. You'll feel it in your core. I remember one time a Catholic dude telling me there's a difference between a seer and a prophet. Anyone could be a seer with skill and intelligence. I'd do it. Divination, precognition, all those things are seeing. But a prophet can do seeing and bring people to believe through it. And i ain't gonna sit here and tell you to believe, you're free to ignore. But the challenge is always there. Challenge God to keep The Word, He will every time.

Pastor Rick,i know Pastor Narry Santos is ur colleague at saddleback...that man is my cousin in law...i am reaching out to him for help for my impoverished sister here in the Philippines but he just ignore me...preaching the word of God to lotsa people to attain salvation..but that couple will surely not have the Salvation coz they are being deaf to my cry for my sister Nene...their dogs are more blessed than my impoverished sister...i told him to sweep his own yard first before reaching out to others...

I hear a lot of controversial comments from both sides, both negatively and in favor of RickandKayWarren's Church. However, I don't personally think any ONE Preacher, Pastor or Ministry has it all. That is the reason and need for talents, gifts and order, both in Hierarchical Order and also in Spiritual Maturity. I believe that Rick Warren is promoting peace, but like any other, his focus and prioritizing, is with the congregation/audience (if you will), that he inspires and teaches. Jesus saw these very prejudices and admonished religious leaders for their strict adherence to the laws, yet they had neglected the more important implications of love, mercy and compassion. "These things, should have been observed, without neglect of the other," not unlike many of the problems we see in churches and government, in today's society. This is balancing of Sprit, And power with personal examining of our own lives, shortcomings and inconsistencies, that needs both be acknowledged and repented from. Nepotism, favoritism, "holier than thou" and like attitudes, without deeper introspection into one's own lives, is the reason we have as much confusion as there is. What am I saying? We need to BE more willing to admit to each other, forgive, and have the love and compassion of Christ wash and restore us, all in the spirit of meekness, rather than seeking to point faults. Until the Church and the Government is willing to do this, all of us, hea,thy or I'll, wealthy or poor, will stay in a proverbial state of mixed emotions, lack in Spiritual effectiveness and those two unresolved, keeps everyone: Government, Law, Church and Spiritual Perspectives dissatisfied and in confusion. I like and have learned a lot from this message. However, Rick was actually wrong when he said he cut out from his dictionary, the word "impossible" - he said that the word 'impossible', "is not in God's vocabulary". So I thought I'd remind us all of "God's vocabulary" in Hebrews 6:4... "For it is IMPOSSIBLE for those who were once enlightened... if they fall away, to renew them again to repentance" (Such was the position Judas Iscariot found himself in when he made room in his heart for Satan to literally "enter him" (Luke 22:3). So the word "impossible" or it's equivalent ARE in God's vocabulary.... though not of Himself.

So faith is hoping something is true despite the lack of or no evidence of it being true at all. Is this close enough to your version of faith? If so, why don't you have faith in the Quran , bhagavad-gita or the Rigveda? The people who follow these texts have just as much "Faith" as you do in yours, so how does an outside observer decide which one to put their "Faith" in? Which one is true? Just because your one says it is doesn't make it so. I'm only interested in TRUTH and faith is the worst possible way in determining truth. Faith is gullibility confirmed with confirmation bias and kept safe through cognitive dissonance.
