He actually has a problem with making eye contact because he trained to look unfocused and like a blind person for Daredevil. It actually has costed him some roles because he couldn’t keep eye contact with casting directors during auditions.

That’s what happens when you act in a certain way for a long period of time. For Charlie that’s acting blind for 2 seasons. It becomes second nature where you don’t even realize it.

If you wanna see Charlie doing an Irish accent, go and see Kin, he was brilliant in that and his Irish accent in the show was amazing!

Serves the casting directors right for assuming all Irish accents are the same. Its nice that Charlie took the trouble to prepare well for the audition.

I really respect him for it. As someone who lives near Belfast and Coleraine, his accent is so good! I would genuinely believe he’s from here. A lot of actors wouldn’t even bother to change the Dublin accent

As an American, I think the American accent Charlie does is AMAZING. His natural voice/accent is so sexy but so is his American accent which is uncommon for both to be so hot. Lucky guy! Hehe. ♡

SMBComix Lol that doesn’t make much sense...if you’re from America, it’s just how you talk. You can’t do a better accent than the real deal, it’s literally impossible 😂 Plus there are so many types of American accents just like there are English and so on

It kinda does make sense. Irish are better at American accents than brits IMO because of the natural R sounds.. but Americans have a ton of different accents.. I am Canadian, raised by Irish grandparents in downtown Toronto and most people take me for a New Yorker when I'm in Ireland.. not surprising with the NY border being 45 mins away, but people judge and I'm quick to let em know I'm a Canadian.. cuz most (not all) 'muricans embarass our continent in Europe.

I believe he said that he studied a Dublin and a Belfast accent. One from Ireland the other from Northern Ireland, so different two different countries. It’s really cool how rich the accents/dialects are in Ireland / UK.

T Brown this was their plan all along though the shows are made by different people so iron fist isn't holding back any of the shows. All of the shows would still take as long without Iron Fist. Also they're making defenders with all of the characters in it and I'm glad they have Iron Fist he's Luke Cages best friend in comics.

Charlie's talent is undeniable. He does a near flawless Irish accent in Kin, he's a very physical guy in daredevil. I wouldn't mind seeing him as James Bond tbh

3:40 thats commitment...it really is, because half the audience for the show would not be able to tell the difference between a belfast accent and a dublin accent but he goes the extra mile just for the authenticity

when i see charlie cox even out of the show, i still think that he's blind :D

Part of me loves Charlie's inability to make a full sentence but it is so cute too

You forgot Andrew Garfield, another Brit who played Spiderman before Tom Holland in Civil War. And one thing I've noticed regarding British actors is that they are mostly classically trained in theater, while American actors aren't always.

Loki isn't an American superhero character nor does Tom Hiddleston use an accent other than his own to portray him.

Cox and Bernthal both perfect as Daredevil & Punisher. Let's hope marvel studios & disney+ won't waste what these 2 actors has done portraying the characters and bring them back on tv or big screen.

@@gamessportsandmore3371 knowing marvel studios & disney+, yep big chance it will be a soft reboot (not calling it Season 4 but can still continue where they left off in season 3) but bcoz the blip happened, daredevil could have a timeskip story. I already saw a article that Daredevil, Elektra, Punisher, & Jessica Jones will come to Disney+ (confirmed but not yet officially announced) while the other two; Luke Cage & Iron Fist still questionable.
