I love Daphne's diary too! Thank you for several ideas. I love the black tape in the P-touch. I have some in my Amazon cart now. Also, the vellum template that you hold over the images to see how they fit is brilliant. I'm looking forward to following along.

GM Mich, thanks so much for sharing your creativity. I also stumbled upon Daphne's Diary and subscribed to the magazine recently. The magazine makes me very happy too, and there is no such thing as too much of happiness. I love the idea that you use the vellum for and I plan on using the vellum in my crafting. I love watching your channel and I look forward to watching more of your videos.

I try not to watch other people who are using the magazine as I don't want to be influenced by others ideas, but I can see why it's popular as there are so many lovely images. 😊

Loved hearing about the weather in Nova Scotia! Use Mod Podge on your pages and then you can use any page for the cover! Nice work. Thank you!

Yes the weather in Nova Scotia is so random. We can get rain, snow and sun in the same day 🌞❄️💧

I really enjoyed your video! I never never heard of Daphne‘s diary till just recently and I ordered a copy from Amazon. Next time I travel to Joann’s or Michael’s in the US I will have to look and see if they carry it! A bit pricey, but your flip through makes me want it more now than ever! The images are really my style! You do beautiful work!

Mich, I've spent the afternoon looking at some of your videos.I have lots of Daphnes dairy , which I wouldn't allow my self to cut up,then once I started I couldn't stop.I have looked at a few Daphnes makeovers and yours, if by far the best.I went hunting and haven't cut the ones your using.Guess what I'll be doing?Thank you for the wonderful ideas, I love them Hugs from Australia ❤❤

I am from New Zealand and we are about 3 months behind with getting our Daphne Diary's we have just got number 2 - 2023 in late July. So will have to watch your video and be ready when our magazine arrive in another 3 months 😊

Thank you for this wonderful demonstration! Just what I needed because I just started my first journal. I also purchase Daphne's Diary from a near by store. It costs almost double to have a subscript. I really was not sure how to go about layering the pictures and pockets. Thanks again.

Hi Gill. I plan on doing another junk journal video within the next week so I’ll have a little section on my thought about fussy cutting. Sometimes I use scissors, sometimes a blade, sometimes I leave a white border, sometimes I don’t. If I know there’s an area that might be hard to cut without ripping it I put a piece of cello tape on the back. 🌸🌼

Mich - could you have sealed the back cover somehow, so that you could use the image you preferred? Perhaps with Gesso? Or a similar product?

Oh gosh. I can’t remember. That video was quite a while ago. With this journal though I’m not using gesso or other mixed media. It’s largely a gluebook. 😊

I buy this at Walmart in Alberta.

It’s so hard here in Halifax to find a consistent place. I’ve looked at Walmart but have never seen it there 🙁

In Nova Scotia Walmart sells this magazine and has carried it for a number of years…. The price is now up to $23.95 before tax. But it is a beautiful magazine! Unfortunately you cannot sell anything you make using the images from the magazine.

Oh I did not know that. That’s good to know. It is such a lovely magazine and I do enjoy thinking of ways to use it. It’s sometimes hard to cut it up but otherwise it sits on a shelf.

@@michcrafty8664 yes I usually give my projects away and as long as they are not sold, gifting is permitted. So I will make a note in it that due to copyright infringement it cannot be sold.

Because the images are copyright, so they can’t be sold. You can use them for your personal use only.

The short answer is that I have no ink in my printer, however Daphne’s Diary has strict copyright laws for reproducing images so I’m not sure how it applies for home use
