One of the best episodes so far. Love seeing some of our young and aggressive idealists (relative) making waves for the betterment of MY. Hope you guys can get more PN guys in, of course might have to blend the languages a bit. KS a bit harder hitting against PH of late since the GIP loggerheads.

Can we talk about how our parliamentary constitutions are so big in terms of population in urban population centers makes it so that urban policy matters are always not talked about since there isn't much political power in the urban centers.

Good point and much positivity on the need to engage with the opposition to find commonality on various issues with competing views. One thing that worries me, and all the right thinking Malaysians, is that PAS is hell bent on moving Malaysia towards a theocretic state. Just look at the four northern states to see a glimpse of the damage they can do with only limited state power. Not to forget the state govern by the so called learned Dr Sam was involved in the short pant saga and is one of the poorest states. Perhaps the hosts can comment in the next episode, how can commonality be found with PAS that is hell bent on turning Malaysia into a theocretic state and seek to impose their values on everyone, although they may deny it now, but I wouldn't have the confidence to let them have a taste of power and see what they would do with it

Howard seems to say (minute 19:00) that there's no vacancy since the switch of allegiance happened before Bersatu amended its constitution. True about the timing but after the amendment, the 6 MPs disobeyed the party instructions not to support PHBN; by CONTINUING to support PHBN (after the amendment) they ceased to be members and therefore their seats should be vacated. Howard couldn't see this point? Or, it doesn't matter so long as we keep the power?

Some education is needed to the public on how public transportation is considered when mapping an area like the Klang Valley. For eg. My work from my home is currently either 17mins drive, 53 minutes by public transportation (quickest), or 45 mins walk. Without a car, is my situation already good or can my public transportation be further improved to be faster?

Faster = less stops = less coverages. Unless they allocate more buses to cover more variety of routes, which in turn also contributes to more traffic, not to mention the availability of drivers or usable buses.

In Klang, the Council operates a couple of buses but these buses are often 3/4 empty most of the time and since users have to wait for 2/3 hours, they are generally looked forward to by the local residents. Why can't they be operated with the real need of people; operate early enough to provide rides to the KTM stations, which in Klang numbers only 4; instead such coordination seems beyond both the local assemblymen or the City [??} Council! Basically, even DAP reps seem unable to be able to look outside the current scenario. I remembered having to deal with the State level body dealing with the local port issues which required the State to deal with, basically land utilization with regard to the MT containers locations. The only response we got was their sojourn to the South! That precisely was the issue, our screw-ups had made us less attractive! By the way, up-to-date this mind-set hasn't changed. Period!

Allow me to remind all the YBs that for all the great and mighty aspirations, visions, and future works you think you have mapped out from healthcare to decent bus stops, etc etc, etc including think tanks, you would have failed if your policies are not inclusive of the OkU which is the marginalised group. Amy of you have any brilliant idea how to enable the OKU, talking about progressive public policy? Do you really care? Or do you only pay lip service? A good case in point is the Demand Responsive Transit Community MOBILITI service. Tell me how a wheelchair user can use your state of the art so called technologically innovative transport solution? What's your stand on this and where are you all as YBs elected by the people for public service on serving the OKU and elderly who share similar needs?

@@tengfsSince when has Rishi Sunak become an accent benchmark? There are dozens of different accents in the UK. Liverpool is only 50km away from Manchester but their accent could not be more different from one another. Rishi grew up in Southampton, whereas Howard studied and worked for about 12 years in Norfolk, which has a distinctive Norwich accent. And having returned to Malaysia for so long (about 17 years now), I’m sure his Norwich accent has now been diluted or mixed with Malaysian accent, one way or another, thus making you think that it’s fake and obnoxious. I know about this well enough as someone who’d lived and worked in the UK for two years, returned to Malaysia, and currently working in a neighbouring country that has its own distinctive accent. Having left the UK for 15 years, the accent I got from the UK is now very diluted, but there are (newly met) people still asking me why I don’t speak like a typical Malaysian.

subsidy removal should be done asap. It's a waste of money to support those who don't really need it. I think the the problem was how they implement it. I feel they didn't do enough proactive actions to help those who really need it are not effected and allow those who really need it approved fast enough. I think the episode to more show more what are the things that can be done right rather than to show how great the DAP MP and assemblyman is performing. we all know they are not really performing that well LOL. If only we can put all the good politicians in the same party but sadly it's probably impossible.

@@skip2malou88 No, subsidy removal is not a must. The government needs to find other solutions whether it's to reduce expenditure or find other sources of income. Smuggling of fuel has also been raised as a reason, but better solutions related to enforcement should be considered first.

@knfk agree to disagree. Subsidy is sadly a drug to many Mysians n it's detrimental to the country development. A good example is how Indonesia trived with subsidery removal n how Venezuela regressed with their massive fuel subsidery. Also u suggested the gov to find additional revenue and I think GST is the way to go. But looking at u needing subsideries, I don't think u will welcome GST. Instead of depending to gov policies, why not work yourself up to generate more revenue?

They don’t talk about race and religion ! Unlike state assemblymen and parliamentarians from some other parties especially from the opposition who give empty talks and shout slogans which do more harm (especially on race relations ) than good!!

It's not subsidy removal. It's subsidy retargeting. Those who qualify r still subsidised. MAHB is better off that way. U don't shout for world class international airports but u don't support a funding strategy. Stop spreading misinformation especially abt the subsidy rationalization
