Once they change there policy on disability access for rides

The theming looks fantastic , Efteling do this so well, I think it’s really nice they have put so many references in to Spookslot as the Dutch people love nostalgia and it was a much loved attraction despite it looking fairly dated by the end. it was great move to replace with something completely different and a unique kind of attraction as Spookslot was very unique . The whole outdoor area looks great and apparently they will have staff in costume admitting you to a separate outdoor area at the end of the queue , before you enter the abbey , so that will be fun to see how that works

I think the real take away is that Dance Macabre isn't all that different from Spookslot. It's a ride now, but still a musical show with some of the scenes from Spookslot and taking place in an actual abbey.

@@aliasgrape4274 Yeah, in every way this seems almost like a superior version of Spookslot. Bigger, with better ride flow, probably better animatronics and effects, more immersive, better themed, with a themed area as well, and performers.

I am still sad Spookslot had to go. It was quite nostalgic to me, even though the attraction was way older than me. But Danse Macabre definitely looks gorgeous. And it does seem to have a more cohesive story. I believe Spookslot actually had a story but it wasn’t really translated into the actual show that well. That said, there’s a certain wonder about attractions like Droomvlucht and Fata Morgana, that don’t have a narrative and are just enchanting scenes in which you can fill in the blanks.

It looks like my prediction was right that this will basically be a much better reimagined Spookslot.

Looping has posten a walkthough of the outside and inside of the new area. Rally mice to see all the nods to the old spookslot. I hope the experience lives up to my expectations. Knowing efteling it will probebly be good though😊

@@TPIOfficial Efteling admitted that at one point going well over budget, they decided to just do all the ideas they designed, where normally they have a big plan and during planning they slash some things to stay within the budget. And apparantly the outside qeue roofing and the bridge to the entrance were some of these extras.

Love the video Joe! We couldn't resist and we've booked our next trip from early June and can't wait to experience this! Will you be there for it's Launch in October? Very exciting!
