He acted in the background of a few films in the 70s, His only major role was in his brother Richard's movie Forbidden Zone. Other than that, him and his old band played small roles in Hot Tomorrows and I Never Promised You a Rose Garden.

I can understand him stepping away from Oingo Boingo for the sake of his hearing, but man he's got a golden voice

lol omg me too!! very briefly, like you said! and indeed, he was quiet, but nice! he had manager or guard or something with him trying to usher him away but he still stopped and listened to my tiny, awkward schpeal of praise. mine was outside after a concert, so he was really just trying to get to their car, so it was extra nice that he/they even humored me at all. you never know what weird people could be out there, as well. So yeah I tried to be brief while still conveying my, well, gratitude (get it?) and he said thank you. Even though it was so quick, I went home feeling all elated. He's been my favorite since I was about 8 or so...I grew up listening to him, so to get the chance to actually thank him in person was really nice.

Omg same. I lived on Oingo Boingo in my late teens, and grew up dancing to Tim Burton's movies. I'd ask my mom to replay the tapes to hear Beetlejuice and Nightmare Before Christmas over and over

I love how this man along with John Williams formed my childhood soundtrack and also simultaneously is a rock n roller like I am as an adult, it’s amazing

yep, this song/album is pretty much a Oingo Boingo track. from wikipedia: "Oingo Boingo guitarist Steve Bartek stated that So-Lo was "mostly a band record", but that MCA "wasn't particularly interested" in Oingo Boingo and so had signed Elfman as a solo artist. However, Elfman wanted to continue the band and convinced MCA to change his recording contract to Oingo Boingo following the release of So-Lo."

The weird thing is that he almost always wears a "wife beater" (white tank shirt for those outside the US) and sometimes suspenders and you STILL want to jump him! I have a hard time understanding him being married to Bridget Fonda. Not that I dislike her, far from it, I just can't picture them together or picture her standing nearby when Danny has his creative sessions with Tim Burton. Wow. Just..... I can't.

I met Danny Elfman and Oingo Bingo back in 1994 at their concert. It was so awesome. He is an incredible Artist/musician/winter.

I like the Lighting effects in the first min. of the vid. very innovative. seems to make his face change from evil to Angelic. [ The Ying and the Yang.] looks like the lamps are on the right [ Left on camera ] just out of frame. and another above [ out of frame ], reflecting off of the water, and then the goose neck on the desk. to his left [ Right On camera ] I will have to remember that effect, very interesting. at 1:58 he reminded me of Anne Lenex in the "love is a stranger" video at the point where she in the car singing "And I want You,And I want You, So, ITS an OBSESSION! " with that intense look on her face, shaking her gloved finger at us.
