I love sushi. I love food in general as you probably know, but I especially love Japanese food. When I cruise with Royal Caribbean I always work with the Diamond or Suite Concierge to set a standing reservation every night when Izumi opens. It is my favorite appetizer! When cruising in Star Class, my Genie knows how to make my day...with SUSHI!
Join me as I dine at Izumi aboard Royal Caribbean's Anthem of the Seas. Our cruise this past February was a whirlwind of filming, working and eating...but I always made time for sushi.

Most Royal Caribbean ships have Izumi as either a stand alone sushi experience like on the Anthem, or they on several ships they have hibachi tables for an energetic, interactive dining experience. On the Anthem, Izumi is dedicated to Sushi and does not have the hibachi tables.
The menu features a wide variety of items, but I won't ruin it here. We hope you enjoy this episode of Danny Dines.

I've never been on a cruise before, and I'm considering going on one of the hosted cruises, but I worry that Danny will eat all my food!

Another Danny Dines! Yay! My daughter would have eaten every meal at Izumi on our Anthem cruise if we'd allowed it. We also took the sushi-making class which was fun and we had so much sushi to eat at the end! They have great sake, too. Great vlog!

Very different from the Oasis Class vessels, but Danny loves the sushi so it's perfect for him!
You have inspired Nigel to try this as he really wasn’t going to. We go on Anthem in July, very excited to try all the different restaurants 😊

More stressed about taking care of all of our wonderful customers. We have been working overtime for seemingly the last year and half to make sure we provide the best options for everyone. Thank you for sticking with us as we did a quick pivot to All Inclusive resorts.

Izumi is a specialty dining option that can be paid for separately, or you can purchase a dining package which will allow you to visit multiple specialty venues at a great value.

I tried it on the Navigator of the seas. I love the sushis, but I was quite disappointed with the food. Maybe it is because the restaurant has no outside door and it is located next to a bar where there was an evening and it was very very noisy which does not match the atmosphere in sushi restaurant. Nice video

Royal does have options. My best feedback by far from my vegan clients has been Oceania.

What is the extra cost for Izumi?

That depends on if you do the single dining, or do it as a package. We always recommend doing at least a 3 dinners on the package so that you can save money.
For someone who ‘handles chop sticks horribly’ all I see is someone that can actually use them! 😂😂 so you’re ahead of me
