LMAO! For anyone who doesn’t understand how sarcastically funny Gleadogg’s comment is....it’s long been “debated” whether or not TooL “plays to a click”...meaning “if the band utilizes audio cues to essentially stay on the correct timing”. TooL has never and likely never will “play to a click” but a click certainly does play to Danny Carey and it still gets off its timing as Danny plays on.

there are 13 elegant vectors in 3 dimensional space including the mutually perpendicular 3 that define it. Danny has 1 brain, and 12 limbs that each occupy 1/13th of his brain space. the rest is musical thoughts and intuitive rhythms from spaces unknown. important edit: each of those vectors actually meets at the origin obviously so technically, he actually has 26 limbs, but one of them is his head, so he has 25 limbs that all occupy 1/26th of his brain space. and that last 26th is enough rhythm to turn back time.

Your reaction at 6:10, for me as a drummer made me tear up. A lot of people wouldn’t catch that. Danny’s timing is special there. A paced melodic line with his right hand, with a slower back beat hi hat over snare with his left in odd meter. What He’s doing a there is very difficult and what every great drummer tries to attain with limb independence. It’s like running and walking at the same time. Your reaction was gold. Awesome stuff!!!

There will never be another Danny Carey. Not just a highly accomplished percussionist but an even better musician. Danny's drumming is just as integral to TOOL as any other instrument. You can't really play a TOOL song with just one instrument.

Just took my 8 year old son to the New Zealand gig at the end of Feb. He was blown away..such an epic gig. Danny has been my favourite drummer since "Hush" was released in 1992. There is something special when your son can sing along to decending and Invincible. Great reaction too.

I found the original video a couple of months ago. I knew of Tool and I appreciated their music. I really, really liked the video and watched it daily for a week or so. Then I saw people's reaction videos, so I started watching them. This has been going on for a while... This morning, I have watched five reaction videos, all for Mr Carey's performance on "Pneuma". This one has been a refreshing change from drummers and other professionals - it is of straight out fans. As usual, I enjoyed the video, but it has been a real joy to watch a couple of real fans absolutely digging an opportunity to see Danny doing his thing.

First off, I’d like to tell you both how much I enjoy watching you. Second, I know Danny. As much as he is the best drummer of our generation, he’s also a great person. His wife is one of the most amazing badass women I’ve been blessed to call friend. I know for a fact that they would want you to react to one of their favorite bands YOB. Tool has taken them on tour many times. They are one of my favorite bands forever. A couple songs to start with would be “Burn the Altar” , “The Lie That Is Sin” , or “Marrow”. I don’t know if you’ve heard of them, but they will become one of your favorites. Much peace and love to you both. Mike V ✌🏻❤️
