Suge pretty much owned him contractually so he couldn't leave like the others even after suge went to prison and after his release he essentially had to wait for suge to drop him from the label.

If I recall correctly, Death Row sent out a message of support towards Danny Boy while he was on Idol and the producers saw it. They got him off the show thereafter.

I remember this back in the day. Danny Boy really had an amazing voice, very soulful..it's sad that he didn't get famous like he should've.

The show dropped him because Tha Row advertised a Danny Boy album release, which is against American Idol rules.

Danny Boy, you don't belong with this group. You are already a Legend and you've made hit records that haven't yet been released. It's very unfortunate that you were signed to a Record Label that was poorly managed but it ain't your fault. Other artists on the label too suffered in one form or the other.

Wow I didn't know that Danny Boy was on this show and I don't know why but all I know is life is not easy and he is not the only artist that been on that show. It's crazy how they had him singing with those two guys and it seem like he was more talented than the two other guys. It's funny how Matthew had something to say about what Scott was doing wrong and look how Scott proved him wrong and did better than he did and Matthew got sent home. It make sense that when people make fun of you, keep trying and prove them wrong at the end it will pay off.
