I miss Danny on a Saturday morning. It was the only programme I listened to on the BBC. Talk Radio should get him to do a weekend show. Including the sausage sandwich game.

There are not many working class people working on tv, these days they seem to want people already born I to privilege and been to Eaton.

Firstly, it wasn't John that made that best drummer in the Beatles comment. It was a joke by the British comedian Jasper Carrot. Secondly, although Ringo was lucky to have been asked to join the band of the century, The Beatles were lucky to have got him. They needed him. They saw him, got on with him and reckoned him as a drummer. When he first sat down and played with them they finally felt that they were now a full band. Ringo is a unique drummer in many ways, a metronomic time keeper and a player with feel and imagination who responds spontaneously to the melody and lyrics of a song and the dynamics of the performance which meant that when playing live he wouldn't always play exactly the same thing but it would always fit. Plus, his personality and wit completely fitted this significant aspect of The Beatles popularity. As an only child he suddenly found himself with four brothers and they all became very close inside this bubble with all the madness around them. The Beatles were a four-headed beast. Each person was indispensable.

I wish the powers that be would stop buggering about and get Danny back on the telly. That pic he tweeted about the royal baby was misguided but I don’t think the guy should have been sent to Coventry over it. He’s a fantastic broadcaster and writer and you can tell, a good egg.

Just a reminder. When Danny was diagnosed with cancer The BBC gave him not one penny towards the treatment. Chris Evans in this video had to loan him the money to save his life.

Why the hell are they building more new houses when they have these unused flats that just need renovating? Yes, they're a bit crap, but they either need knocking down and replacing with new buildings, or renovating. That would be better than digging up another bit of the countryside!
