IMO Ringo looks better with the gray hair and beard, when he's this age. He still looks unbelievably great for his age either way.

But during the white album band was working separately Ringo wasn't even participating during some recording like Back In The U.S.S.R. (Paul was on drums) Dear Prudence. Paul recorded a lot of songs on his own. I think Abbey Road was a more "band" album.

Sure it was! Their last effort! And then, the tracks, you are referring to, were recorded during his stay in Sardinia, mentioned in this very interview. Otherwise he would have played on them, for sure!

Ringo is a great drummer. Pete Best also owns a drum kit.

Must be pretty cool to start out your working life as a drummer and wind up being in the biggest band of all time. Couldnt have happened to a nicer person.
