The 2nd movemnt played just like the melody from heaven, angelic... The way he touched the key so tenderly and into the music so harmoniously . He is so gifted .Piano is the media which he transmits the lovely messages from heaven.

Thanks dear Mr. Trifonov for such a brilliant and perfect performance of tchajkowski's first concerto for piano and orchestra. Whatever you play on the piano whether its Chopin or tchajkowski or other great virtuoso composers you are perfect and amazing and brilliant in your technique ,your way of expression and your outstanding talent in music. I wish you many more years of great success on this beautiful amazing area. This music is eternal in its beauty.

Totalmente de acuerdo, aparte de oírlo en el concierto que fue como un viaje a lo divino, lo vi salir del camerino y tuve la sensación que era un ser estraterreste su andares no tocava el suelo , o quizás un ángel .❤❤

I think this was a clever and ingenious move to perform Chopin's concerto for the final performance--it made him stand out from all the other competitors doing the bombastic Rachmaninov/Prokofiev/Tchaik usual fare.

True indeed. Also, he brought this piece instead of the Rachmaninoff third, which he originally wanted to play here, because Prof. Babayan recommended that he play the Chopin than the Rachmaninoff, given the immense number of repertoires he had to tackle at that time.

De todas maneras se habría destacado, aunque tocara lo mismo que los otros competidores, porque realmente fue, es y será siempre el mejor ya que Daniil es extraordinario.

Hoy he vuelto a escuchar esta maravilla, no me canso de admirar el talento increíble de Daniil. Doy Gracias a Dios de estar viva y poder escucharlo. Bravo Daniil!!!❤️

@@santiagogamboa4484 Kissin está a otro nivel porque es más viejo pero Daniil no sólo lo alcanzó a su corta edad sino que también lo sobrepasó, lo dejó atrás. Hay varios buenos y sobresalientes pianistas pero Daniil es espectacular.

@@JV-yb9oi Regardless of Trifonov being Russian or not,he definitely deserved to win the competition in 2011.He stood out head and shoulders above the rest.....not saying they were not good,but he was thé best!And his brilliant career since then corroborates his win.

Musik und Kunst hat in Russland in der breiteren Bevölkerung den höheren Stellenwert als in der westlichen Welt. Und ist Teil der schulischen Erziehung, was bei uns im Westen nicht der Fall ist. Leider! Muss man sagen.
