Daniel Vettori Most Skillful Left Arm Spin Bowling Vs England - Perfect Spin Bowling
Спорт
Daniel Vettori who is one of the masters of the arm ball showed all his tricks of spin bowling vs England. I edited this video because in my opinion this spell of bowling is one of the best bowling in test cricket which checked the patience and techniques of England batters.

Just the most absurd batting technique. Must have been so frustrating to bowl to him. A great example of someone who wasn't a traditional athlete but made the most of his strengths.

Was such a mediocre player who got chances as the teams were not focused enough. Such bad stats. Senior player but definitely not a nz legend.

To me, he always looked more like a sharp physicist than a bowler who used all the science he could to shoot those balls. "Exceptionally intelligent bowler," as my dad described him.

Honestly Baz would sell his mum for some extra cash, he is only loyal to his wallet. He is not a Kiwi 🥝 he's a money hungry dooshbag. Him and John Mitchell have to be the worst kiwis right now. Shockers! Coaching England when half the black caps he played with he's an absolute shocker..

His bowling style is really Amazing
Drs would have nailed his bowling so would hava a tight bowling unit for most of his career Vettori has bowled single-handedly and if we could add a little drs to his seemingly-mundane journey his numbers would have sky rocketed. Umpires' decisions were out of his favour because of the prejudice that his bowl won't turn much, starkly undermining his ability to turn the red cherry

All spinners would be helped by DRS but Vettori possibly less than most. He was pretty slow flight bowler. The spinners who bowl fast and straight are helped most by DRS
@relevantbrother8964

@@HkFinn83or... the advent of DRS has made spinners bowl flat and straight to target the pads as Vettori might have done.. You saw how effective his arm ball was against Strauss.
He had to hold up one end most of the time and give the other bowler a chance to get the wickets. When he had that change in action because of his back, he relied more on the drift and armball with more subtle variations to do the damage. Very good batsman as well and rescued us a few times with the bat.

he had height as well which made him unpredictable
We all agree the 6th ball was an lbw.. I'd say there is a good case for the second ball too. Arm ball, probably hit in line and definitely hitting the stumps. Drs has been such boon!
those old days! much closer than today to being a gentleman's game
This kind of spin is rare in eng vs nz matches nowadays.
One of the nicest bowling action among all the spin bowlers .

Underrated allrounder vettory
Loved watching Vettori, especially being a fellow glasses-wearing spinner
One of the great things about DRS is that it has taught players and umpires that spinners can get LBWs off front foot pads. Rarely given before DRS, but given a lot now and rightly so.
I liked those old time. Have to wait for match, enjoy whole day. Right now every day we are having one match or two.
One of my all time favorites. 🔥
I loved his bowling action.
This man made me believe that I can play for India while being a kid with glasses.
Vaughan was clearly on the losing end of this duel with Vettori. 💯
Amazing bowling 🙌
Nice action, old is gold
Bowls brilliantly without any reward
No matter how much beard he grows and how old he gets, those spectacles make him look like a naive good kid!
As an indian i used to copy his action when i was 6 or maybe 7 i used to do his action.
One of the very few players who wore glasses while playing cricket 🏏
Looks like 2nd day, anywhere in England, but ball turning like Chennai or Mirpur

Mate, he was so skillful as a bowler (and batter), one of my favourite players growing up, I'm Aussie, but loved watching Vettori.
Had one of the best, most deceptive arm balls I've seen to this day still.
Clearly BAZ (behind the stumps) didn't like the way batsmen playing. He should introduced something like "bazball" for them.
He is most intelligent spinner may cricketer ever witnessed ( not that many variations or gifted quality like Warne) but the way he control pace, line & length, flight
Can we just get Jack leach watching this on loop
Legend vittory.....
Memories ❤️
Underrated bowler
Great takes by the wicket keeper
Never an out and out wicket taker but you couldn't get him away. Very frustrating as a batsman but good for the next bowler coming in. Dab hand with the bat as well
Beautiful and very skilled
I was a right hand bowler.. It's because of vettoris bowling action I became left hand bowler..
He is underrated all rounder
What a perfect action
Proper nostalgia to see Baz behind the wickets lol

Love you Daniel 💝💝💝
Vettori has incredible cricketing talent, but have you ever believed that how handsome he used to look ? He also used to look like a scientist, which is funny 😊
Only these legends had Drs at there time.
Watching this and I've affirmed Test cricket is the best form of cricket. T20 is like pop music as an analogy. Exciting momentarily but don't touch the soul.
England went on to win this game by 6 wickets, despite have a 179 run first innings deficit
Legend
Kevin Petersen is out. Man if we had DRS back then, lets say from 2001 atleast, results of many matches would have been so different.
Beautiful action ❤️

Subtle in changes of pace and flight. He was very deceptive. Rarely gave the batsmen a loose delivery.

When he did give a loose delivery, it was porbably more than likely on purpose to goad the batsman into false confidence.
How many wickets did he get in the match
