I haven't been able to confirm this, but I recall that he used to be in the top 100, but fell out when he started devoting less time to tournament chess? Well, probably a lot of GMs in the 100 to 500 range are like that - they could be inside the top 100 if they devoted themselves to tournament chess more or less full time, but that's just not the best career move for them, so they don't. And probably a lot of people from 20-100 could easily fall out of the top 100 if they spent less time playing tournaments and more time teaching or making content or whatever, but for whatever reason - they're still dreaming of getting to the top, they have family money or generous support from their federation, or they're the top player in their country - they don't.

I like Daniel Naroditsky a lot, but slow down, he's not close to 2700. Not even 40 players in the world are 2700. By definition, Danya at 2623 is closer to 2550 than 2700. You can compliment Danya without overextending toward achievements that are not quite possible. [Footnote: To Naroditsky, if you are reading this, your GOAL should absolutely be 2700. It's a reasonable goal. Set your goals high. Piece coordination is your main overall weakness (as it is with most attacking-style players), solve this and anything is possible.]
