I was in my late teens in the 80s, sure miss this era. The music was the real deal, especially no PC crap!!

My spouse and I tried this old-fashioned style date last week at Dreamworld. It was awesome, even though we aren't teenagers anymore.

It was an awesome decade and it was also the decade of greed via J.R. Ewing from DALLAS and Gordon Gekko from Wall Street plus the Iran/Iraq War but overall it was a fun decade. I was 10 years old when this flick came out and even though I graduated from high school in 1993 2 days before turning 19 I wasn't allowed to date until I turned 18. Strict Catholic parents yes but I respected them and loved them and I still respect and love them to this day.

U from LA? I remember that place! It was demolished in ‘95 I believe and replaced with the drag strip. My 11th birthday we went there. When I was a child I thought those prize tickets were gold! Lol. I’m so glad I got to experience that place as a boy. Because of those memories I am working on a custom arcade cabinet with my own concept of 80’s themed arcade game artworks

Elisabeth Shue is SO cute! The Ali character is one of my all-time favorites because it's so, SO, far-fetched. Let's face it, beautiful, cute, girls/women are not close to being as sweet, loving, and kind as "Ali" is in this film. I liked Kumiko most. She is so exotic. I had a girlfriend a few years ago who is Korean/Italian and man is she gorgeous and exotic. Even though she and I broke up we still and will forever remain good friends. As for Jessica in part 3 did you know the actress who played her is Blake Lively's sister and their brother Jason was Rusty Grizwold in European Vacation?

ha, this place is still around. Golf N' Stuff in Norwalk, CA. looks exactly the same, they tore the big water slide though.

Very appropriate since today is the 28th anniversary of Daniel and Ali's first date. (Saturday, November 5th, 1983)

Anybody else find it strange that the album version (as in, all other versions released to purchase) is a totally different version? This one is more of a duet-style with a female singer.... and it fits sooooo damn GOOD! Shame this version doesn't exist anywhere other than in the movie itself. It's similar to I'm Free (Heaven Helps the Man) in the movie Footloose compared to the version released on the soundtrack. They are two different takes, but to my knowledge, the movie version was never released outside of, well, being in the movie itself.

Fun fact somebody died on that waterslide so they tore it down. I know I used to live there in Downey.
