Sergiy's trainer is the same guy in Jacob's corner, Andre Rozier, unfortunately for Sergei, Rozier can only be in one fighters corner and he chose Jacobs since he's been training him since he was a kid. Rozier assistant coach is the one in Derevyanchenko's corner for this fight which is why his advice seemed novice at times. Still Sergiy put up an amazing fight, had this fight been ruled a draw I wouldn't have complained.

It wasn’t a draw, and the split decision was weird. Unless I really wasn’t paying attention (I’m pretty sure I was though) it seemed like a pretty clear cut unanimous victory for Danny Jacobs. He got an early knockdown and significantly outboxed Sergiy for most of the fight. Derevyanchenko was really having problems landing clean or even just letting his hands go to begin with. He kept getting countered and his punches kept missing or glancing off or getting blocked and Jacobs kept sneaking in body shots and uppercuts and tactically tying up whenever Sergiy tried to get on the inside to rough him up and Jacobs used angles and footwork and head movement and timing and yeah, it wasn’t a perfect or cleanly pretty victory, but it was definitely a clear/unanimous one.

Hell no, what fight were you watching? Even Derevyanchenko and his corner clearly knew he lost and Jacobs and his corner clearly knew that he won. It’s strange that it was even a split decision... it was pretty clear cut and should’ve been a unanimous decision for Jacobs from what I saw. He had an early knockdown and significantly outboxed him throughout the fight. Derevyanchenko had problems really letting his hands go until the final rounds of the fight when he finally turned it up to his final gear, but most of the fight he was too complacent, too hesitant, and lacking in the sharpness needed to properly box with a clever veteran slickster like Jacobs

That's the opposite of what the commentators were trying to do. If you choose to retreat the whole fight you have to land a lot. Jacobs landed many but Derevyanchenko landed many also. Derevyanchenko had the harder task of attacking a backing up fighter. Jacobs tried to outbrawl Derevyanchenko a few times but failed. The shot Jacobs landed were not enough for him to win it. When Derevyanchenko was landing punches throughout that fight the commentators were constantly speaking about how 'classy' Jacobs was. Backing up/retreating for the whole fight is the opposite of classy. This was so close to a draw.

Considering how much information you got wrong here you should probably stop commenting on boxing lol You guys don't even know why you hate Black fighters, oh actually, yeah you do. Not sure why you assumed Derevyanchenko would stomp Charlo, he does not have the advantage of speed, strength, reach or height which is why people that actually watch boxing had Chenko as the underdog. Even though you made no prediction - here you are being a knob. Very good. So Derevyanchenko did beat the shit out of Charlo in the 2nd half of that fight so I wasn't completely wrong, he had a very slow start but Derevyanchenko still landed 30 more power punches overall than Charlo and nearly folded Charlo in half with a body shot in round 8 I think it was, you can hear Charlo wince in pain when it lands loool. Yes Charlo won the decision by landing more jabs especially early in the fight, fair enough - he did better than I expected. Good for Charlo. But Derevyanchenko did beat Charlo up badly later on in the fight and that's a fact. Another fact is Charlo got smacked up by a washed up old Korobov for 11 rounds and should have lost that fight. But that's another story 😂😂😂

Why didn’t you read his comment? Because you were afraid of what he wrote? Because you wouldn’t have a valid response to his exposing words? I guess so. And you were WRONG. Be a man instead of a little bitch and admit that Charlo was the better fighter and won the fight by unanimous decision, contrary to your completely WRONG prediction. You’re a little weasel trying to slip out of being wrong. I loathe people like you. Everybody does. You’re a weasel, and a shit-talker, and a weirdly obsessive “hater”. I think he did level up after this fight, as evidenced by the fact that he seemed to find another gear in the late rounds and then fought that same way against GGG and thus gave an even better showing against GGG himself than he did against Jacobs (who’s elite af too, but still). That said, Charlo is a potential great, even better than Jacobs I suspect, so I’d agree (and now the results of the fight confirmed that - Charlo indeed won, by unanimous decision).

It’s funny that you call a championship level professional boxer simply utilizing the sweet science a “scared girl”, when that “scared girl” could beat you into a coma on a mere whim, when you could never in your life do a fraction of what that man did right here in this very fight, when you yourself would probably involuntarily shit your little underpanties if you ever had Derevyanchenko standing across from you staring with bad intentions. Jacobs didn’t look the least bit “scared”, he looked actually calm and relaxed and composed the entire fucking fight, to an impressive degree. And I don’t see where he “ran”, I must’ve missed that part. I saw a guy mostly standing his ground but subtly maneuvering around to get angles and draw Sergiy onto counters, which is known as “boxing off the back foot”, a highly effective strategy when you are the longer fighter and adept at using footwork and head movement and timing and landing at longer range, as Jacobs is and proved in this excellent performance of high level ringcraft
