I just looked up Plucka Duck and it is not a kids show, as I assumed, but it's like the Price is Right on speed. l would never have suspected that it is an adult game show with this mascot. It looks like a very weird show indeed, but kinda fun with some very frenetic duck energy.

It was a small segment of a larger show called Hey Hey It's Saturday, a sort of variety show of music, comedy, celebrity guests, like the kid's shows on Saturday Mornings that the UK used to have, but louder and stupider meant for teens and adults.

No it wasn’t a children’s show, but it was a family friendly show on prime time. I loved Plucka Dug as a child. My parents would call me in when Plucka’s segment came on and I would run in to watch. I had a Plucka Duck toy and I loved him. I honestly haven’t thought about Plucka Duck in 25 years.

Laugh at Mr Blobby all you like, but his performance on Big Fat Quiz is legendary. The man’s an absolute master of physical comedy. DDL should be so lucky to be compared to him.

Mr. Blobby and Plucka Duck are two things that I find highly fascinating as an American. We had people in costumes, but not quite to the caliber of Mr. Blobby and Plucka Duck.

As an Australian I have no idea where Mr Blobby originates from, I’ve only seen him as a reference in various British comedies. And I doubt Brits know about Plucka Duck - he Is Australian. Actually I doubt any Australians under the age of 30 know who he is. Hasn’t been on TV this century.

I've met him. He owns a pub in Bali. It's a interesting claim to fame.

actor Barry Killerby Mr Blobby was created by Michael Leggo and it was portrayed by Bradford born actor Barry Killerby from 1992 to 2015.

According to an interview given by John Blackman in 2009, Plucka was originally played by Mark McGahan, but was replaced by "Sim" for the reunion specials. "Sim" appears to refer to Simon Lefebvre. Also, Plucka Duck had its own show, Plucka's Place.

Alex probably looked up Mr Blobby when he had Tom Basden on the Horne Section Podcast.

The Plucka Duck segment on Hey Hey It's Saturday was always hilarious! It was the same guy n he made the segment. I actually still have an original Plucka Duck stuffed toy, in mint condition from the 1990's. 😂🙏💙🦘
