DC is my favorite fighter of all time. He’s a great role model and I’ll always remember him as one of the greatest to ever do it.

It’s crazy how styles make fights. Some of DCs wins like just taking down Rumble and Black beast and breaking them casually Stipe couldn’t do that but Stipe hit the trilogy on him. Joana beat all four fighters Rose lost to but Rose beat her twice. Match ups are everything. Just watch the ncaa tourney every year there will be like a ten seed that upsets number one and loses in the semis of then gets smashed by an unseeded guy that beat him ten times but just got pinned by the guy he upset haha. It’s crazy to see DC land all day on Stipe every fight. Something word class elite strikers like Alistair couldn’t do even though he ran. I honestly feel with the tools he was given he is a better fighter than Stipe. Stipe was a wrestler too but had a boxing background. DC got into mma late his first fight was at 30! He was second best to Sanderson Jones and Stipe three of the goats but I love how he always wanted to fight the best of the best and if he lost he wanted them again. I feel the small cage really fucked him when he got dropped this fight. He was circling and felt the cage on his back tried to run hands down which was his mistake got dropped. The eye poke was crazy. Ref has to stop that to get looked at, It could have been stopped and been a no contest and we would be seeing a fourth fight. You kind of got the feeling going into this one that if it got to later rounds Stipe would figure him out again. The trilogy respect wise is amazing the vibe was interesting. It felt like a spar. Both were super relaxed with no fans. Stipe seemed too relaxed. Both had to wake up. When DC did his pre fight grit his teeth and pound his fists I said ahh shit he’s gonna lose. The angry let’s fucking go face seemed so forced and not as natural or intense and not like his previous fights.
