Dangers of dumping Sand into Fish Tanks without rinsing first! - Best tips for Good Fish Keeping #2

Үй жануарлары мен аңдар

In this best tips for good fish keeping series, Father Fish talks about the danger of dumping sand from the tank into an established fish tank without rinsing the sand first. The fine particulate in some sand bags could reduce the oxygen available in the water for the fish and also cause the fish to suffocate and sometimes even die. Watch the video to understand the specific reason for cloudy water in the fish tank and how to make your water crystal clear.

My opinion on that is theoretically, it’s already been rinsed by the lake/pond/ocean you gathered it from, so there’s no need to do it again. The only reason I might rinse it anyway would be if it’s ocean sand - because of the salt.

I'm in no rush to get me 🐠🐟🐠🐟 yet only plants for a month or 2 then I might add a couple fishes. Wish me luck father fish.
