Dangerous Magnetron flame Record: 28cm Plasma

Ғылым және технология

This is the largest magnetron flame ever made by an hobbyist. The flame is 28cm big. Please never recreate this experiment if you don't have knowledge in HV and microwaves.

    @@ludwikludwik615 yes its the same as an HFVTTC. But instead of having a oscilator build out of an transmitter tube im using the Magnetron. The magnetron is an self contained oszilator that oszilates at around 2,4ghz

    I wouldn't be to worried about microwaves. Most of the energy goes into the flame. Also I had an metal helmet protecting my head. Inverse square law is also our friend in this situation.

    I'm pretty sure this is a myth that originated from very early magnetrons and military/very high power vacuum tubes that actually did use beryllium ceramic. For the past few decades most household microwaves likely use alumina as its cheaper and doesn't require the expensive process of handling toxic beryllium ceramics.

    Could you please release the wiring diagram?

  • @motness

    @motness

    Жыл бұрын

    It's very simple it's just two MOTs with one negative doubler on each MOT. The MOTs are wired Antiphase for 100hz output. But don't forget the extra diodes on the output of the doublers. The extra diodes are pointing into the doubler because of the negative voltage.
