@@mogolottis7719 Die Produktion eines Filmes, sei es auch nur ein Kurzfilm wie dieser, dauert sehr lange. Es gibt viele Punkte die passen müssen, Wetter, Darsteller, Zeit ect zudem die finanzielle Mittel auch auschlaggebend sind. Dazu kommt die Nachbearbeitung, Schnitt, Ton, ect.

The pause from when the spotter is hit and when you hear the gunshot is a really impressive detail. If you've ever shot at a steel gong with a rifle at 100-500 meters you'd understand.

In 4:54 you see first the shot and then you hear the sound of the shot. Amazing realism.

Direction, acting, scriptwriting, costumes etc were excellent but the cameraman/woman brought every emotion through the screen... loved it!! Congratulations

#2 rule for snipers. You never go inspect your work. The second you have fired a shot, you are compromised. You move, quietly, through cover and away.

What I found slightly disturbing and confusing for me was that the administration of the coup de grâce seemed entirely humanitarian to me. He got killed providing it. The contextual realism of these scenes is what gives them their power to understand the war.

You are absolutely correct! Snipers are gatherers of intel. The ghosts of the battlefield. Targets of opportunity present themselves but the cost of being compromised is fatal!

I always thought "Shoot and Scoot" was the rule in contested areas, if conditions permitted. In grassy, wooded areas such as this, and against unknown numbers, never assume a fallen enemy is the end of the threat.

​@@bertplank8011they all look correct to me, Soviet sniper has an SVT-40 and the German a K43, they were all over the place in the war but not often seen in movies, for whatever reason.

Macht endlich ein Film. Bin nicht reich aber 2000€ kann ich geben. Auch für meinem Vater. Der hat diese Hölle 40-45 erlebt.

Klasse gemacht und sehr schön, einen K43 in Scharfschützenverwendung zu sehen :-) Quality content, as usual with you guys.

Am Ende warten die drei Toten auf den Scharfschützen - und zusammen gehen sie über das Feld in die Ewigkeit. Das wäre das I-Tüpfelchen bein diesem hervorragenden Short-Film gewesen. Tolle Schauspieler, sehr feine Darstellung, nachvollziehbare Handlung, moralische Bewertung liegt beim Betrachter - spitze!

Even though our ancestors fought each other, I still feel respect for their courage in the face of death. I am glad we have times of peace now, and may that never change.
