One bridge fell in dimapur recently, this looks like will be the next one..thanks for uploading i will skip this route.

This requires a cable stayed permanent bridge. When Jiribam - Imphal line is completed, Ro-Ro freight service like Konkan Railway should be started with trucks moved on shuttle trains. This will save time and ensure availability of essentials in Manipur. Also Manipur needs industrial investment especially software and non-polluting industries so that local Manipuris get job opportunities.

I was posted in jiribam in 2008.

Materials for jiribam imphal railway project lesser loads are being carried then permitted,5tons where 9tons permitted. Anyway work is continuing.

I just watched videos about 4-6 lanes expressways in Gujarat, NCR and then here in northeast our infrastructure is nada.

@@smartcorner6427 Na it can be done but the state governments mainly are the culprits. In my state we hardly have a functional airport too, no railway everything we depend on Assam.

Can not believe that a truck run on this bridge. I have first seen a bridge without base as a support. There must be 4/5 base to support the bridge.

That's not built today, that's enough old. And state government should notice the problem. If not someone should file a complain to court they will close the bridge and would ask government to build a proper bridge. Or people can protest atleast.

A suspension bridge without the towers for weight support what a technology advancement...its obvious they cut corners to fill their own pockets You cant have a bridge this long and of this importance... without a base ...the metal will buckle under the weight of even a single heavy duty truck its a miracle it can hold out this much weight every times truck passes
