Dandelion Greens, Wild Weed or Nutritious Superfood?

SUBSCRIBE FOR MORE!: bit.ly/2OsRhsi
Dandelion greens are the aerial portion of the dandelion plant, one of the most popular wild edibles probably known around the globe. Often considered to be a type of weed that needs to be eradicated, dandelion's and their tooth-shaped leaves can actually be a nutritious and "free" source of food once properly identified.
Providing medicinal use as a "digestive bitter", they contain compounds commonly referred to as CGA and CRA. Learn more about nutritional attributes and other potential health-enhancing properties.

I am a gardener and I noticed that Dandelion leaves here can get 3 inches wide and as tall as an arm and less bitter If they grow in deep nutritios soil. It is quite amusing to eat some of the wild weeds instead of using poison to keep them away and have to buy or grow green leafy veggies that have been breeded to taste sweeter and they can taste worse If not properly grown and get eaten by larvaes instead.

Yes, all parts of the plant are edible. You can also make tea from the leaves, use them in smoothies and salads. I suddenly had a huge patch and started eating them. The leaves are a very strong diuretic, so be prepared!
