I just meant it has a lot of amazing examples. Like "I'm so happy I could melt" in the Wizard and I. The entirety of "I'm not that girl", Wicked is amazing at their foreshadowing. And no problem :)

Hi People holy crap i just realized... so the wizards deal with dorthy was to that he would grant he wish it dorthy would bring him Elphaba's broom, right? and what was that song? defying gravity? "and no wizard that there is or was is ever gonna bring me down!" but in order to fly, she needs her broom right? so what if the wizard sent dorthy to prove elphaba wrong... I just blew my own mind.

You know this is a great musical when somebody breaks into an 8 minute song about not giving a shit.

Does anyone else agree Jonathan Groff would make a fantastic Fiyero?

I never realized just how much plot development happens in this one song. "Gravity" and "For Good" get so much attention (and probably are my favorites) but the actions going on in the background of this song are significant to the rest of the story.

Life would be much better if huge crowds of people would just suddenly burst into expertly choreographed dancing and singing every once in a while. Especially songs like this.

Fiyero’s whole part at the beginning also sounds to me like he has depression, and is hiding it by being a flamboyant, upbeat playboy. He’s tired of caring about life, so he shuts down emotionally and leans into the whole airhead schtick in hopes of not having to deal with his problems. Elphaba turning him into a scarecrow gave him what he thought he wanted.

@MiyavisGuitar The weird thing is of the three 'we deserve each other' relationships, the one which actually lasts the longest is Elphaba and the hat. She only really loses that hat in her 'death' meaning that the 'relationship' (I use this term very loosely) lasts until very near the end of the play whereas both Nessa/Boq and Fiyero/Glinda end about half way through the second act. Elphaba's hat was the only one not to fall in love with someone else unlike Boq and Fiyero- I guess she was lucky!

Madam Morrible: "Oh, miss Nessarose! The governor's tragically beautiful daughter!" (Elphaba taps her on the shoulder. Madam butt flounce turns, then screams.) Elphaba: "Hello. I'm his other daughter - you know, the beautifully tragic one." I LOVE WICKED. It disturbs my loved ones I'm so obsessed.

I like how elfie always supported her sister, and never tried to change who she was

“Life is painless when you’re brainless” I’m not so sure about that, Fiyero...

Nice save, Boq. Good work. He's probably my favorite character.

The song Punk Rock Girl is pretty fast, and for years I thought this one line was eat "fudge banana squirrel" when it was really "eat fudge banana swirl" 😂

This song is truely swankified. I'm going to start using that word every day.

I've done ballet for seven years now. When I saw the title of this song for the first time, I was ecstatic. I thought my life was going to have a theme song. Hahaha, NO. The sad thing is, he's so close to being right some times (stress is a bad thing, so don't go actively looking for it; life is an incredibly amazing thing, but it's still "just" life, so we don't have to be freaking out about things; etc), but he takes it just a step too far and ends up being totally wrong.

Yesterday I went to a ball with my boyfriend and a few friends from university (all English majors) and we popped into a pub on the way, which is really dangerous for me because I don't need to drink much to start singing. So all the way to the ball I was singing this song and everyone's face when I said the word 'swankified.' :D

"Those who don't try never look foolish." Not true, Str3nq clearly didn't try to spell check or make sure he/she heard them correctly, and every third comment points it out.

I laugh every time I hear: "You're perfect." "You're perfect." "So we're perfect together~!" Every time.

Dear God in heaven, the spelling in this was enough to make a 2nd grader's head hurt!

The music composition gave me goosebumps

Why did it take me nearly 10 years to realize the significance of Fiyero's name? The first part of the name sounds like "fear", right? "Fear-O" resembles "Scare-CrOw". Even his former name was meant to foreshadow who he would ultimately become!

I got to play as Fiyero in my theatre's rendition of this play. Playing it was hands down my favorite role I've ever had the privilege to play.

Great song, and I'm usually not one to comment on the grammar of the lyrics, but this has got to be the most misspelled lyrical video ever.

Yeah. Spelling is terrible - what the hell is throughtless? Fraughtless, yes. Throughtless sounds like 'thrushless', with a lisp. And the song isn't about being stupid, it's about being ignorant. Blissfully ignorant. Living an unexamined life. A life where you learn no lessons and you don't see issues, because you're too busy 'dancing'.

I have seen a lot of plays on broadway, but I have never wanted to be in one, I just watch them and think "wow, look at them I couldn't do that" but I really want to be in this production, b/c it changed my life. It opened my eyes to see what happens to other people and this whole play describes me.

When I see people with their headphones in, I know they are listening to some crap like what you described, meanwhile I'm listening to Rent or Wicked or classic music when music actually meant something!
