Well I would have to say that he 100% achieved that. ( But then again that's just my opinion ) =D

general song meaning: getting intoxicated in dark peculiar feelings/moods, letting go freely to move to the rhythm, etc CONCEPT BEHIND 'MOVE': Since debut he usually specialized in popping and more large movement types of choreographies. So when the time of the MOVE comeback came around people expected him to go hard af as usual again but instead for the first time ever he went the complete opposite direction and started this sensual/subtle concept movement within k-pop in choreos, fashion, concepts, and etc. (influenced like Chungha, Donghan, etc etc) Wanting to break from the norm or typical expectations similarly to his MOVE era solo concert series titled "OFF-SICK (getting off of what you're sick of)", he noted that "I wanted to break the idea of what male/female performers are supposed to show. I really wanted to break those labels, showing that dance is a form of art.” Utilizing his skills and body type that was neither too masculine nor too feminine to do something that was special and specific to just him. Not simply any kind of dance that a male would be more suited to copy or a female but rather something that at most importance requires Feeling which is why so many people who cover Move, which may appear to look simple/easy, end up looking either too stiff or too squid-like LOL. This then lead to the common misconception tho where toxic twitter just basically dubbed Taemin as the "gay/bisexual king" doing nothing else but delivering "hoe anthems" instead of truly appreciating his evolving art or message. So to clarify, Taemin's straighter than a ruler but isn't as much of a ladies man offstage as he looks to be onstage LOL

I'm seeing a lot of comments asking you to react to the dance practice video, but I honestly prefer the performance mv (mv #3) because you can see him dancing with the choreographer Koharu Sugawara. She's actually in this mv too (the girl in the black turtleneck) but seeing the two actually dance together in the performance mv is just art.

Drip drop is definitely a music video which shows off taemins dance skills. It's a dance M/V and taemins dance is super cool in it :)

Tbh I think what I like most about it is that the official choreographed dance has him and girls dancing, but he’s not dancing with the girls, he’s dancing *alongside* them and I just love that so much

Hi, greetings from Brazil! Teamin likes to provoke. That's his style as an artist. You should react to his new MV "want". In that video, he criticizes the insane necessity for perfection, especially in the kpop industry. The video starts with the famous Vitruvian man from Da Vinci (which symbolizes perfection) and ends with "The Gates of Hell" from Rodin.

omg, at this point you have to react to taemin's group, shinee! he is actually the youngest member and the other members are as talented as he is. i would recommend for the beginning not the newest mvs since in december 2017 they lost in unfortunate circumstances their main vocalist, so they are without him, but i would most definitely reccommend married to the music (super funky halloween bop!), view (deep house, actually one of the first popular kpop songs of that genre) or 1 of 1 or some of the even older ones like lucifer, ring ding dong or replay, which is considered among many as the best debut song in kpop! anyway, keep doing awesome job, your reactions are truly enjoyable!

Yessss, thank you again for this! I really appreciate it. For now, I wish you could react to his group, SHINee. I recommend Sherlock, Lucifer and Good Evening. Unfortunately, we had a huge lost in 2017, and one of the members passed away. His name is Jonghyun, and he was such a incredible and strong artist. If you want to check out (react or just listen by yourself) some of his works, you should try She Is, Crazy (Guilty Pleasure) or Shinnin'. He was more a singer than a dancer, but his songs are really captivating.

Thank you for the reaction, and I agree with the hypnotizing quality of this mv. Since you're a dancer, I think you'd really appreciate VIXX, a boy band known as the "concept kings" of K-Pop. For example, one of their old title tracks, Hyde, went with a Jekyll & Hyde concept, so their dance had a lot of duality and mirroring. I recommend you check out Shangri-La, Chained Up, Voodoo Doll, or Dynamite for some awesome choreo and aesthetics. Thanks!

Ahhhh so happy you reacted to this video! Loved your bit on the "small bite" on his shirt. I thought similarly that it's kind of meant to call for indulgence in creativity and allowing oneself to challenge or even break free from some of the norms that we hold ourselves to. I think I remember him saying that's the intention behind the video, not just like gender norms but also venturing into different styles and music for himself and the kpop industry. The choreo too is fluid and more subtle. I personally found it refreshing bc a lot of kpop groups tend to go for more big, explosive, and quick moves, which we love but once in a while its nice to take in a different pace, yk? You HAVE to check out SHINee, Taemin's group! They are another boy group from SM and are some of the OGs when it comes to top notch choreography in perfect sync! They are one of the most iconic groups to ever come out of kpop. Every single comeback has a different concept. They have 90s, EDM/House, dub step, R&B, chill indie pop, straight pop, and so many more! If you want to really see their dancing abilities in general but also watch them evolve you have to check out their debut Replay from 2008, it is the textbook definition of late 2000s r&b, their most popular song with international fans is Lucifer, the song the members feel was the first time they were themselves was Sherlock, their song Everybody is the best example of their talent as all around entertainers, 1of1 is so 90s the album was even sold on cassette tapes and sold out, and their most recent comeback (celebrating their 10th anniversary) is Good Evening which is a very different dance style (it also has a sample of a famous R&B song).

Try watching SHINee Sherlock which Tony Testa choreographed. And Taemin is also in that group and he is the main dancer

SM Entertainment are widely moaned about for not putting subtitles on MVs. SM = Subtitles Missing 😂🤣

Not the best photography for this dance. It is much more exciting when Taemin performs this song live and the camera shows his entire body, not just from the waist up most of the time. Trick shots and venues really don't show off his truly awesome dance moves. His back up dancers are excellent as well.
