the UFC probably has a much larger retained earnings. That means more money gets rolled into the business and that's why we saw the UFC buying Pride, Strikeforce, having a huge roster of fighters, etc. But it would be nice to see MMA fighters getting a larger paycheck overall.

@ESNEWS dana has a 9% stake in the UFC, so its 9% of the profit after paying everyone. Arum has a larger stake and pays the fighters overall less than the average Dana pays. Only two boxer are making most of the money in boxing. Boxing has been around for over hundred years, ufc only has been around ten years.

@MrESKALO1 UFC fighters fight three times a year and are employed with a contract of over 3-6 fights depending on the fighter. UFC has a roster 10x deeper then Arum's. And ontop of all that everyone watches boxing and I cant say the same about MMA yet. UFC has been around 18 years and boxing over 100.

The undercards both aired at the same time but the main events came on separate occasions. As a result I was able to enjoy both the Pacquiao and Junior Dos Santos fight. That was nice.

Amateur Boxers get a salary plus expenses. Boxing, Golf, Formula 1 and Tennis are in a total different league. Those guys are all making millions. Oh and by the way those purses for the fighters above doesn't even include sponsorships and endorsements. Check the Forbes Sports rich list, 29 of the 100 are boxers lol, No MMA.

Wait, so he rips Arum for taking a share of the revenue, but isn't he doing the exact same thing? UFC fighters make peanuts compared to elite boxers and I'm sure Dana gets a ton of money, probably a larger percentage than what Arum gets off Pacquiao. Also, why can't Saturday's UFC card air an hour or two earlier than Boxing? If White wants us to watch both then it's his job to make sure the schedules don't conflict.

@skillz1855 White sure does make great fights happen effortlessly. I give him credit for that. But maybe it has to do with MMA being a young sport. I heard White was a terrible boxing promoter at one point in his life. If that's true then he cannot do what Arum does in regards to long term success. But you might be right - if White was Pac's promoter the mega fight would've happened 2 yrs ago. However that would be called short term success.

I wonder when his contract with Top Rank ends? PACMAN PROMOTION would be cool. If he didn't have too much on his plate pacman would earn ridiculous amounts of money by promoting himself.
