It might take 1-2 years before Conor is fully fight ready again. In that time Dustin might have captured the title from Oliveira, which would mean that Conor would have to beat at 2 guy in the top 5 in the very least before getting a shot at Dustin again. It will probably be years before we see a rematch!

The trash talk in this fight wasn't "Classic McGregor", that is something people get skewed about. We all have memories of Conors old school trash talk, and in hindsight we think it was all vicious attacks, but it wasn't. It was usually witty, calculated, and often more about fighting ability with little jabs at personal lives or appearance. The most vicious he used to get was Nate Diaz in the rematch, and even that wasn't near as vitriolic as it gets now. Lying on the ground being protected by a dozen people with a broken leg talking shit about the guy who was just beating the shit out of you is not "classic McGregor". Anyone who says it is either misremembers, or never saw it to begin with. As a longtime fan of MMA I'm sad to see what Conor has become. Maybe he can bounce back and get a W or two before retirement.

You’re right. It’s the real McGregor. When his usual trash talk didm’t work and he lost, and his nice guy act didn’t work & he lost, we got the real McGregor. A man shows you his true character in defeat. There it is. He’s an asshat, with a bunch of hooligans for fans. Glad he brought so much attention and revenue to the sport, but the MMA community will be better off when he retires. UFC needs more men like GSP, Dustin, and Khabib.

Two guys fight, one wins, he goes on to fight the other dude who won. So logistically, Conor lost, he should fight somebody else, if he wins and Dustin loses the title fight, then he can fight Dustin again. But of course Conor is in control, always. The game is the game, always. So as that being said, and me understanding the situation, I wish it would be more order in the UFC. Make it to be a real sport, number one contenders fight for the title. Everybody else climbs their way to the title.

I want Connor vs Islam, it's almost a Connor v Khabib rematch, so that can really settle their beef. If Khabib's PUPIL beats Connor, he gotta stop talking shit about Khabib because that would settle it for sure. If Connor wins he can have a little bit of leeway in saying he could win a rematch, but I honestly believe that Khabib wins that rematch 10/10 times, anywhere and any place. But I don't even think that Connor could beat Islam tbh, Islam should beat him up and push him into retirement. He is a mid ranked fighter, even though I believe he should be ranked higher, he is only lower because people are scared to fight him because he is like Khabib 2.0 only not as good. But same style, and still the most dominant wrestler in his division, maybe possibly even across all divisions in the UFC. And with Khabib training with him, he will only get better and better. So that fight makes a whole lotta sense in every way, good for sales because of the history and skills between the 2, and also it would greatly benefit either fighter to get that win. If Connor wins then he gets himself back into title/contender conversations, plus can talk his shit and convince some people he could beat Khabib in a rematch(I don't think that he could regardless, but if he won it would convince his fans, as well as Khabib haters at least), and if Islam wins, that will push him up the rankings to where he belongs, it will cement Khabib's win over Connor undoubtedly, get Islam closer to competing for a title, and push Conor into retirement or at least close to it. The other fight that makes sense that they have a better chance of actually making is Connor vs Tony, mostly because it would be easier for Conor to win that fight since Tony is on a losing streak, and they both are on losing streaks so they will probably do that fight because I'm like 90% sure Islam is undefeated so far, or at least is on a fat win streak or whatever. I believe he has like 8 straight wins or something crazy. I'd be happier with the Islam fight because I wanna see Connor get beat TF up again 😂🤣😂🤣😅 but I'd be happy with Tony Ferguson too. All I know is that a loss to either of them will have to bring up questions of retirement, and I'm honestly quite done with McGregor's shitty little antics so I'm all for that. If he can't beat Tony, that's even worse than losing to Islam because Tony is on his way out the door as well 😬

No he is not. Look to Overeem, Bisping or Mark Hunt. He can try rebound if he needs to.

@@MattyIceBJJ I see your point, but he lost to elite. I never thought Stepe or Michael Bisping would become champs because they had couple of loses, but they did. I kinda agree that rematch with Dustin makes no sense right now. But one more title run attempt sounds about right 😊

Connor is a marketing genius. He is not a real bad guy. Ali acted the same way. DP should be grateful to CM and the pay check he got.
