Total luck. Max knows it was a body shot. Justin dipped into it and it cost him. Breathing was fkd after that. Speared in both eyes too. I don't think he ever got his shit back together after the broken nose. Didn't even look like him after that. If a normal body shot Justin would have eaten it like nothing and moved on. That was the best UFC fight since Bonnar v. Griffin. And the wave-off of the timeout by Pereira was a complete gangster move given what came seconds later!

I don't know, it was pretty one side is my only thing. Justin pretty much only had the leg kicks. It was a good fight but really the nose break in the first and the KO in the last second were the only notable moments. I think the Leon Edwards head kick is probably a bigger moment, or even the Adesanya KO vs Alex... Idk about fight of the decade but cool for Max, for sure.

To me the BMF fight played out exactly like the scene in Troy to me when the boy tells Achilles that the Thessolonian he saw is the biggest man he has have ever seen, he wouldn't want to fight him. Achilles answers, "That is why no one will remember your name..." the doubters were the boy, the Thessolian was Justin and Max was Achilles. Fucking picture perfect fight.

I probably don't agree with some of Dana White's beliefs & antics half the time, but it is nice to see him so animated & enthused about the hard ground work blossoming into awesome fights. Huge congratulations to all the fighters, staff, & indeed White for this accomplishment.

People may not like Dana but when it comes to post fight press conferences hes gold.the main reason is hes a fan first and he loves great events and loves great fights

I was one of the people who was thinking Justin was going to win, but i never counted Max out and always knew it was gonna be competitive. But holy shit, i did not see that coming. I thought i couldnt be a bigger fan of Max and Justin, but after this i have a whole new level of respect for both fighters. They gave us such a good fight. So happy for Max right now. This was one of the most incredible moments I've ever seen.

It should have been the performance of the night and not fight of the night between Max and Gaethje. Don't know why people even underestimated Max considering his granite chin, footwork, volume, boxing and jiu jitsu. And the somewhat irony in Max doing to Gaethje who is turning 36 this year what Gaethje did to a 36 year old Tony in 2020...

@@allybaapp1053 Max vs Gaethje was mostly one sided. There were several other fights where someone lost a round and won later on like Miller vs Green, Cody vs Feigeroudo, Turner vs Moicano and Oliveira vs Arman.

@@alcottdevalte7440 I think the next best candidate for fight of the night was Jiri x Rakic.. think the reason they gave it to them was it was 5 rounds and pretty decent.. but yeah it was rather one sided. The other ones you mention were pretty one sided too though and this was higher stakes and more rounds.

Please forgive me, i didnt see Power Max having enough to flatten Justin in any round, and i know damn well theyre both talented and capable. Same here! I just showed my buddy the justin vs Tony fight. Those are probably the hardest punches I've ever seen I'm my life. My heart wanted max to win. But my head was absolutely positive justin justin just hit to hard.

Max nailed the three pointer on the last second.

U can see how GIDDY dana was when he came out and sat down....the man is the only one that can ever run the show.....honestly dana white is bigger than most fighters.....i loved this whole event, and in my area i seen like 4 parties with houses stuffed for this event.....THANK YOU!

It was a top five moment of all time in the UFC!!!

I honestly feel like Gaethje headkicking Dustin was a bigger holy shit moment. Max broke Gaethje's nose early on and he never really recovered and was basically out on his feet when they started brawling at the end of the fight.

Before this fight was even announced, this was always a fucking fight you make in your hopes and dreams, then they go out on 300, fucking 300 and the fight goes exactly how it goes in your hopes and dreams, calling a dogfight in the middle and may best man win… and the other fights too dude, Cody piecing up fig for a moment, millers face completely red and bloodied standing on business, zhang choking out yan in the first round then almost loses then dominates again, fucking Alex’s fight dude 😂 most coldest shit seen yet, jiris fight dude, both trading and jiris leg on a timer, jumps in on his drunken fighter style throwing and catches rakic. Fucking insane card

Both real ones. Justin didn't have to take this fight and had nothing to gain really. Max knew this and gave Justin 10 seconds to get lucky at the end. Just happened to work out the other way around. Both are savages. I didn't think i could respect either any more than i already did...but I was way wrong.

Max's moment was cinematic. Legendary fight game material. His KO transcends MMA. It goes down in history as some of the greatest moments in all of fighting. Max & Justin are the very definition of a BMF and a BMF fight. We witnessed true greatness at UFC 300
