Health, wealth, and legacy, in that order. Putting the best against the best is OK from Dana White's viewpoint because he doesn't get hurt, but all fighters are damaged for life with every fight. An up and coming UFC fighter in the lower ranks is paying to fight, because the prize money doesn't cover training and camp fees, and especially medical bills. So many ex-fighters have enormous medical debt. Therefore, a fighter should never fight the best if he can avoid it, because the legacy isn't worth the health and wealth.

From latest figures due to the ufc getting used, we got some numbers out of them. They give 20% of earnings each PPV out to the fighters in pay, no more no less whether it's a boring card or the biggest card they've had in 3 years. Luke thomas had a guy on his podcast/radio show breaking down the available numbers. It's a shame ufc fighters get paid so little, but ufc being the only tier 1 promotion in town makes it so the best fighters fight each other constantly, we're spoilt in that regard, boxing is a hit show in comparison

Davis vs Loma, Crawford vs Spence, Wilder vs Fury, we will never see these fights because these guys are happy with what they are getting paid already. I’m a die hard boxing fan and a casual MMA fan and I have maintained that Dana would be good for boxing should he endeavor into the sport. Dana saves the big bags to incentivize the fighters into giving the fans the fights they want to see. Everything he is saying in this interview is sensible and I agree with it. Agree 1000% with Dana, the Klitschko Era made heavyweight boxing boring since Lewis retired the 126-147 was the most popular division during the klitschko Era. Now it’s 🔥🔥🔥

Flexgado24 I find the Klitsckhos are a great test to see if people really know boxing. Both Vitali and Wlad are top 20 heavyweights of all time. No one in history held the heavyweight championship as long as wladimir Klitsckho. They were just so much better than anyone else. People say it was ‘boring’ but that’s because the Americans/brits at the time were poor. No one wanted to watch 2 Eastern Europeans fight. Vitali has one of the highest KO %s in heavyweight history. Wlad not far behind. Truly great champions and even greater men
