Joe is a highly knowledgeable, true fan of the sport. I feel his excitement and energy while he's commentating. And he shares what he knows about all aspects of MMA. This is the reason why other organisations are just not as good; the commentary feels too professional and robotic, they don't get excited while they're watching, they just call out the play-by-play.

Not really the reason the UFC is better is because they have better fighters but I guess Rogan is a tiny part of the reason

You should try and sit the same distance away from your microphone as your guest does to keep the same volume as the start of the clip your far louder and then mess around with volume in production after, splitting clips etc and adjusting volume :) cool clip

3 main reasons imo articulate, very knowledgeable, and passionate. You'd be hard pressed to find a sportscaster more passionate and knowledgeable on their sport

I love his stand-up. I also love a lot of other stand-ups. I can say that I've laughed as hard at his stand-ups as some of my other favorite comedians. And to be honest... it doesn't matter who is the better of my favorite comedians. They all make me laugh. Thats the goal.

I asked him if he would come on again. This was his 4th time on my show. Great guy, great guest.

Rogan is great because he's not doing commentary by numbers, he's real. The fighters respect him which helps get more from them. Hope he sticks with UFC for a loooong time

Joe as the best commentator ever in MMA - arguably very true. Joe as the best podcaster ever - undoubtedly the best and the most successful. Joe as the greatest comedian ever - comedy is subjective, but I would say not even close Dana, he wouldn’t even make top 30 imo. Dana was just saying that in passing and being nice :-D

Remember when fight island was this mythic fabled thing and then it just appeared with the quickness?

I mean here in Europe there is plenty of emotion in football broadcasting, especially now with the Euro cup

Rogen is great, I love him, but he for sure shows his bias towards some fighters at times. He's definitely an alpha male, though. Gotta love the guy.
