That’s what I got going on with my dad. He’s got altheimerz and he basically hasn’t been present much throughout my life. I don’t know if I’m strong, I think I’m just weak. I wish I had a dad. I also wish I wasn’t a loser so I could one day be a great dad.

That's not strength That's western family system today Where parents don't have any value I do respect my parents I care for them and I love them for what they did for me till today . I m doctor by profession Earning and independent but that doesn't mean We should abonden them Either their parents aren't parent at all Or kids don't care at all There is one of these two reasons behind saying so harsh words

I don’t know you, of course. I will be brief and say this, NEVER let a single day go by without taking time to call, listen, share, and ALWAYS tell them you love them. Enjoy them to the MAXIMUM 😊. I mean it. Not in the everyday rushed habit of saying it at the end of a talk on the phone. Hug them when you greet and hold them long prior to departure. Look in their eyes with all your heart. Even hold them tight till you feel their heartbeat. I know they are proud of you, and love you dearly, beyond what can be humanly expressed; and that is so beautiful so very far from what I have experienced. I know this because your mentioning them in this the way you did shows awesomeness in your relationship. Respect to you and your wonderful parents. Love hard. Love strong. And be well. 💪🏾😎👍🏾🫶🏽

Respect to Dana White. The simple fact is that not everyone has a good relationship with their parents. Sometimes it never heals. It's one of those taboos society doesn't like to address or talk about since many people have special relationships with their parents. For those of us that really didn't though, we're kinda left out of the narrative. Dana White, love him or hate him, managed to break the mold!

Developed ptsd and would drink on his meds. Very bad combination. After a cancer diagnosis, brain, lungs everywhere basically it was 6 weeks till he passed. Was tough the first few bit have not shed a tear for him in years now. 💜✌🏼

Well stated. Some of us had parents that showed us exactly what NOT to do in order to have a happy adult life. For decades now I have been much happier as an adult than I was as a child because I no longer fear those 2 people breaking up the family while the children are still dependent upon them.

This is kinda how I've been feeling more recently, Im 30 and my parents are both pushing 60, in a way im a bit afraid to lose em, but sometimes im afraid that I wont feel a thing when they are gone, since it already feels like they aren't there anymore, especially emotionally speaking, I guess in a way its a gift.

Bc when u open up u become vulnerable and it shows weakness. My grandma died when I was 12 and I had no feelings also. But would secretly cry before I went to sleep when everyone thought I was sleeping. It had to me one of the most dark years ever that year.
