@@bikemike1118 No, what I'm saying is that the room is every bit as important as the rest of the gear. Think about this. In many rooms, there can be Axial modes that create anywhere from a 1dB to as high as 20dB or even higher peaks and this can happen at many DIFFERENT frequencies. THAT is one type of VERY audible "ROOM" distortion. You can't EQ anything more than maybe 2 or 3 dB peaks without making it sound worse. Then you have reflections from the surfaces within the room. THAT'S another type of "ROOM" distortion that you have to manage. Then there is absent noise level. The average room has an ambient noise level of 45dB to even as high as 65dB and that's without playing a single thing from your stereo. People have HVAC systems that might be loud, refrigerators nearby that might make a noise. You'd be surprised by how loud your environment is without pressing the PLAY button. Download a RTAS app and see which frequencies and amplitudes of those frequencies. There's all kinds of measurements that one can make to analyze one's room and then it takes someone with a vast amount of knowledge in how to figure out what treatment, how much treatment and where to place the treatment to achieve optimal effects. A properly treated room can make ANY system sound much better. A poorly treated or untreated room can also make ANY system sound worse than it is. There's only a couple of types of treatment. Absorption and diffusion. But there's a lot of different absorption products on the market and each has their own absorption coefficient curve and most people simply are clueless how to figure out what product to use. Going by price and what it looks like is NOT the first priority. Anyway, if you want to waste money on better gear before you get your room dialed in, then you'll never be happy because the room won't allow you to be happy unless it's treated properly.

Save your money. I can’t speak about the amp but the speakers are really bright. They can get on your nerves pretty easy. I did not like them at all. Sounded „technical“ to me.

Diffraction behind speakers is only for speakers with rear firing drivers 🥴 too much echo get a dedicated sound room with proper treatments 👍🏼

a little too bright on the final violin but I think the recording could be the main culprit of this

Sounds like hi-fi, not music. Horrible reverb. Might sound better in a different room.
