1) I'm assuming you mean ralph Lauren Polo because there are multiple Polo brands that look similar but aren't part of the Ralph Lauren family. 2a) It depends on the cost of production of the product (ex is the logo embroidered or heat pressed vinyl or screenprinted, etc). 2b) ex. I noticed a few years back when I went to Polo stores at shopping malls and they had bubble and bomber jackets that the jackets didn't have much lining so in terms of keeping you warm it functioned like a windbreaker. You would need to tailor some lining to make it more effective in colder weather. 3) A lot of outlets only carry surplus/overstock to keep their seasonal inventory up to date at their main retail locations. So in order to make sure the overstock at outlets sells quickly they discount the product. 4) I'm not sure if you are referring to brand/perceived value or actual costs?
