Dame Ne Regardez Pas - Erutan
Музыка
This is a track from my Celtic/Medieval album, The Court of Leaves. I thought I would film a little video for it :)
The instruments are a vielle (medieval fiddle with gut strings), a gothic harp, and a lute.
The piece is originally for two vocalists, but works as a delicate instrumental just as well :) It was written by Guillaume de Machaut, a 14th century poet and composer. I love this melody!
We filmed the video in 30ºF weather, at a ruin about two hours from Charleston. We thought it would be nice and deserted like always, but suddenly the ruin was VERY popular, and a whole biker gang decided to visit at one point! Luckily, we had one 30 minute period where no one was walking into my shot or trying to mess with me. ^_^;

I’m gonna assume that there was conversation beforehand that got deleted, but tbh this on its own is hilarious because some rando on the internet tagged someone who isn’t even in the replies and calls them an idiot in Japanese for not having the correct terminology for different types of deity.

Medieval music is so relaxing. I don't know why, maybe because our imagination makes us thinks about "fantasized" medieval times. Anyway, i love that song, i'm really amazed by your work.
Why in Heaven's name does this woman not have more subscribers? I am so disappointed in the world. She is a music artist.

Just stopping by in 2021 because Erutan is timeless 🥰
This melody is particularly relaxing and peaceful, it makes me dreamy. Although I only discovered your channel a few months ago, I've already become addicted to you, Erutan, ahah ! I'm in love with your whole world, it's rare, unique, beautiful and simply full of wonders. I listened to all your music, and have to say "Thank you". Only "thank you". I guess there are many people who comment sincere words and convey feelings to you about your music, and I'm one of them, but before saying that I hope you continue making music for a long time, I just want you to know that you gave and still give to everyone of us incredible things. I can't even describe it. Your present to us is a part of Life, a piece of your soul, some reality you created and that is making me breath. There is so much left to say, but almost all of it is inexpressible, because it's higher than human beings. I'm convinced true Music is a flow of Life. Music that can express so much, transcribe a world, or even show the color of your soul. Whether they're covers or original songs, every music piece you made has something in it. Something beautiful and powerful. I thank you for being someone who shares such sincere emotion through music. Also, you have a really lovely voice, and it's always a pleasure for me to hear you sing. I can't help but mention "The Willow Maid". This song is my favourite one, it has sooo much in it ! Maybe one day you'll stop making music, regardless of the reason. If this were to happen, I would say that you left your mark on history. Personal histories of all people that happily listen to your music, which will live forever inside of their souls. Please be well, Erutan. My soul will be listening to yours forever.

I want to thank you Kate for helping me overcome one of the roughest patches in life. I first listened to your cover of Silent Hill music box and a few others during my darkest hour and arguably it helped me save me from myself. You are an amazing spirit. Thank you so much.

You have reminded me exactly why I fell in love with the music of Machaut as an adolescent, more than 50 years ago. Thank you so much. A beautiful performance with each part distinct, one can really hear the structure.
I am Brazilian and I spent admiring his work when watching Itsumo Nando Demo [い つ も 何 度 で も]. Really perfect. Now I offer my congratulations for another work of art touched by you.

Your videos are never short on the artistry. The song has a fantasy vibe to it that I'm such a sucker for. Thank you, Erutan. Perhaps you could release a vocal arrangement of it someday?
It's always a bright day when I discover your name in my subscriptions feed. Thank you for that! Your music is source of great joy every time, whether you sing or do an instrumental, whether it's original music or a cover.

thanks for playing french music ;)
I am speechless. A painfully beautiful song!
This is a beautiful piece of music. You are such an accomplished instrumentalist and an outstanding composer, it's a joy to hear and see you play. I wish I had discovered you and your music earlier so I could have shown this to my dad who passed away a few weeks ago. He was a guitarist and a maker of violins and guitars, he would have really liked to be able to witness so much talent. Especially in a young lady (he was a bit old-fashioned at times)! Thank you for sharing your magic with us!!
Beautiful work! Also, am super glad to see my 2nd favorite song from the album get a video of its own. Thank you for sharing with us!
ill describe this in a simple way. your music makes me feel happy... thank you..
Absolutely beautiful! ^^ I have been listening to it on Spotify for a while now but it was really nice with a video alongside the wonderful music!
Yeees! A new video! I'm happy! I knew the song before the video and I love it! It's kind of sad and relaxing. And it's nice to see how you play all the instruments. Yeah, love it :D
I actually knew what the title was. Duolingo is working! XD Also, I like the masks here. Let's the focus be on the music and the instruments. And definitely gives a mysterious, fantasy feel.
Beautiful ;w; I love listening to The Court of Leaves in Spotify while I'm playing or working on projects, it's such a relaxing album~ (Btw the video looks very classy and very well edited! 4 Erutans
Beautiful my dear sooo soothing it's ridiculous!! It's so haunting and calming! Thank you!

I love your music, I love your raiments and masks! Thank you for gracing our coarse world and bejeweling it with these nectars of whatever magical ether from which you come!
I hope you didn't get sick after making this video. I love the music on your Court of Leaves album. I took a Renaissance music class in my sophomore year at university, so I was listening to a lot of instrumental music just like this for my class. Dang tourists! Can't leave the performer alone for just 10 minutes.
Once, again, magnifique!
One of my faves from that album! ^-^ So peaceful and soothing.
Erutan i really love your work, you were the one who inspired me to continue singing so thank you and also because of you i was able to get in the choir so again thank you! and this melody helps me study XD

Hi there Erutan, you are very gifted with a lot if instruments which is a very rare gift and the merging of your playing 4 into one tune is beautiful , this melody is very dreamy , reminds me of something one might have heard in the 14th/15th century in a faire or kings court , fantastic I look forward to my ping notifications of your uploads
