My husband and I had the pleasure to attend An Evening With Dame Edna at home in Australia; we laughed the entire time; just poking fun at the most mundane and sacred cows. RIP, Barry, we love and miss you.

We will miss this brilliant non conformative humour. This man died, and with it his abilities to say what other people can not. Dame Edna and Sir Les said what was not possible to say . He had an amazing intellect.

Just so you know, what Barry Humphries does is feed the interviewer with lots of lines and questions to say beforehand, but the interviewer doesn't know what the responses will be, that's why their reactions are genuine. The best example of that is Joan Rivers asking Dame Edna, "Did you enjoy your stay at my house in LA?", to which Dame Edna responded, "Yes dear, but...... your toilet roll dispenser wouldn't take my credit card".
