Yet Irv just strap together the Got ur self a gun beat & the super ugly beat for Jay. So, If Irv put the battery in jays back, to make a dis song (music), without Dames consent or knowledge, that’s literally interfering with Dames business. And, music is based on coolness and reputation. The moment an artist loses their cool factor, their music stops selling and they make no money. Example: vanilla ice and hammer both sold millions of records before the public perceived them as corny. Where are they now? Exactly. So, in the 1990’s era of gangster hiphop, taking a loss could’ve chipped away out the public perception of rocafella. Which, in a round about way, that loss was a part of its demise, and why Jay jumped ship and sabotaged the brand and threw Dame under the bus. Their visions were no longer in alignment. And both of them chasing Aaliyah didn’t help either. It’s all connected.

The art of being a good interviewer is knowing when to STFU and not interrupt a good story building up! Very rare talent!

Dame went as far as he could go with what he knew and Jay was savvy enough to see the writing on the wall and he parted ways. And if you call losing lawsuit’s, multiple business failures, having your homes foreclosed, and being jailed for Child Support and running to another state to escape New York because you got so many cases successful than you can have at it.
