Dropping the bike in the water probably did less damage than trying to get it going full of water. I’d have been relieved to get the bike out of the drink. Spending a few hours making sure all of water is out of everything where it’s not supposed to be would’ve been time well spent. Clueless.

Was gonna say even for as fast as he was going (and we all know he was going well over whatever the limit is for that road) that suv turned into the lane and he had a bunch of space. Wasn't even a close call. Straight overreaction. Maybe next time slow down and you'll have even more room!

@@greggrace967 Well, for starters, use progressive braking on the front brake which gives you 80% of your stopping power, this bike has ABS so next to no risk of locking the front wheel, light touch back brake at most, change down at least one gear to aid your engine braking, and look where you are going, in this case around to the right as you approach the junction, not get target fixated by the van. It's nothing to do with being a champion pro rider, it's called basic vehicle control on the road.... he's only doing 60kph, or roughly 40mph, if he can't brake safely at that speed (he didn't even touch the front brake lever and pulled in the clutch instead, just about the worst thing he could do combined with a panic size 9 on the rear brake pedal...) he should really consider whether 2 wheels is for him, or whether his training was sufficient.... not to mention he didn't seem aware he was approaching a stop junction, despite it being signposted on the left approaching the junction, so it's arguable he would have panicked van or no van.

@@greggrace967 take courses before you ride a bike, be comferteble with handling the bike in trafic and follow the speed signs. Edit. COURSES! Not one, not two, many! I took 10 45min classes in traffic and on slow courses before. That was 16 years ago and I still learn new things about handling and understanding the motorcykle

Everybody goes way too fast for the tail, especially bikers on crotch rockets cuz they think their shit doesnt stink cuz they ride a crotch rocket. But from what ive seen, our roads up here are like the surface of the moon compared to the near perfect roads of California, minus the near 80 degree hills yall live on 😂

For real. I've been through mountain roads much tighter and twistier with no problems. Just gotta know your limits. Those weren't super fun to ride but were gorgeous views. Tail is more fun, can get more speed.

The lines are getting blurry between MotoMadness and Moto Stars. They're starting to use too many of the same clips. With the new MTM format, I would give the edge to Moto Stars channel.

The car pulled out before the biker was in sight. If the biker had been at the speed limit it would have been a non-issue. And if there had been an accident the speedometer wouldn't have been blurred and I'm pretty confident the biker would have been given at least part of the fault, quite possibly even most of it.

@@drbioluminous Really? 🤔 The majority for me were Kwakas and we were always being asked to fit (and eventually started recommending) steering dampers for them - especially on the ZX6RR/ZX10Rr. They were hellish. But you’re right - my best mates 2004 R1 is epic to ride but the front end gets WAY too light if you try to roll on in 4th 🥶

That was my dads video but not my dad riding. The rider is a very novice rider, not having the 400 for but a month and a half. We warned him about the roads and to ride his own ride but he simply ran out of skill

no, it's due to him not using the front brake, which probably has ABS, but instead pulling in the clutch, thus having no engine braking and simultaneously stamping on the rear brake pedal (no ABS on that probably) causing him to snake all over the road as it locks and skids. An example of very poor understanding of basic bike control and probably needs to go back to training.

@@rogerwredford i think abs is quite rare on those bikes and from dash I cant ser any abs lights so I doubt it has one. Realistically front brake alone would easily saved this but engine braking is always nice to have

@@Supermanmake14 It seemed to me that the front brakes should have stopped him. There did not seem to be any sand, snow, ice, nothing to prevent using the front brake. Why didn't he use the front brake? I know that anti lock can stop you from using the brake. That's why I will never have a bike with that on there. I wish I could get a car that did not have anti lock but that doesn't seem possible unless I get a really old one.

@@jcann313 It seems to be common in some communities to be scared of using front brakes because of lock ups. Maybe he was scared to use them. The ABS doesnt stop you from braking but it can modulate the applied brake pressure. I dont know why you would want a car without ABS unless u always drive in controlled environment

It's hard to judge distance between you and a bike when it's going that fast. If someone merges in front of you and your going double the speed limit, technically they pulled out in front of the bike but who's fault is it really
