Dallas Woman Discovers $37M Deposited In Her Personal Bank Account
Despite her initial hopes, it was not a Christmas miracle. It was a banking error.

I would've transferred at least $1M to another bank account before saying anything

I'd sue the bank for emotional distress after thinking I was a millionaire then losing it.

Something similar happened to my parents (maybe early 2000’s I think). The bank was supposed to send 1,018 dollars to my parents but somehow they added a couple zeros and the bank accidentally sent them a whopping $1,018,000. My parents did the same thing as the woman and told the bank about it. The bank got back their money but as a reward, they left my parents the interests which were like 4,000-5,000 dollars.

I won’t lie, I would have quietly let it sit there. I wouldn’t touch it or anything, just bid my time to see if anything happened. If a year or so went by....well happy birthday to me

I would’ve took half a million as an inconvenience fee. The bank always charges us for everything, so they should be charged as well

That's a cruel mistake. If someone who may be struggling to make ends meet gets a mistake like that, that would be cruel and inhuman. Kindness and honesty are not rewarded in this world of greed. Instead, kindness and honesty are confused with weakness and are punished.
