Euroleague teams consist of 12 players,not 15 thus some of the guys who were on their bench have never made it to the team.Real also has some similarities to the Mavs that won the champ,since Causer,Llull,Sergi and Rudy are all over 35 (still crushing everyone).

Euroleague is not getting better NOW. It is solid basketball since more than 20 years, depending mostly on tactics, strong defence and high IQ offense based on systems. It has only gotten a bit worse the last two years, bcause of the absence of CSKA Moscow due to the war. Cska is one of the most successful and historic European teams, along with Real Madrid, Panathinaikos and Maccabi.

Im an european myself, but european fans gotta chill and stay humble. Dallas wasn’t even a good team last season and their two best players didn’t play. Still they barely beat the Mavs. The NBA’s basketball level is still way above the European’s one. There’s a reason almost all the best Europeans players go play in the NBA.

@@trgrgtgrtgr7724 There is no point in comparing, it is players against players. Clearly Dallas has a better squad with all its stars, but Madrid's squad is surely better than Dallas' substitutes. Almost all of Madrid have gone through the NBA. Tavares is now much better than when he was in the NBA, Campazzo is not, but overall he is like a quintet of NBA substitutes. So one substitute five beat another. They played with NBA rules, surely with Fiba rules Madrid would have done much better even.

Well, first teach them how to play on Fiba. Maybe they could reach the Final Four just because of talent, I don't argue with that. But they probably wouldn't win. They compete with NBA teams without problems; it would hardly play in the playoffs, but it would win some games against the North American franchises. My guess for the five in the conference: Real Madrid, Barcelona, Olympiacos (or Panathinaikos), Milano and Fenerbahçe (or Anadolu) -- from the four main leagues in Europe. However, I know they wouldn't leave the city of London out; and also one in Germany(Munich or Berlin) or France(Paris).

NBA basketball sucks. No defense at all. All about three-pointers. No special plays. No special defensive tactics. It may be faster which appeals to the eye but with 3-pointers deciding which team is going to win turns the game into a robots-shoot-out game.
