  • @saiwaqa2573

    @saiwaqa2573

    4 жыл бұрын

    @@billkevin4501 We can only hope so! KP playing the 5, adds another dimension to their offense. Their pnr, pnp causes so many problems for the defense. KP started off okay the first three games of the season, even had 32 against Portland in a close game. But against the nuggets, when powell returned, KP's production dropped and got worse as the games went on. Its not Luka thats the problem, its the fact that KP isn't playing off luka and they should be, similar to Lebron and AD. Therefore, although it sucks that powell got injured, maybe we can see KP get to that level again.

    The Mavs are my dark-horse contender. I think the unexpected vacation will do them wonders. They have a chance to get Luka and KP a little extra recovery time for their injuries... and they get a little time for development AFTER knowing how other teams play them. To me, last summer doesn't count. Porzingis was still getting his groove back from injury... and much of this year either one of them or the other has been injured. A few months for them to actually review and analyze their games will do WONDERS. They can actually develop as though it were the summer, but have the advantage of already having played their team all year. For once, the Mavs have an opportunity to develop their players around CONTINUITY... which they haven't had for probably a decade. There are 4 players who stand to make improvements this summer. Luka, Porzingis, Cauley Stein, and MKG. If Luka and Porzingis master their fit together and Cauley Stein and MKG figure out their roles... this team not only becomes a lot better, but other teams won't have enough data to really game plan against the Mavs. The mismatches the Mavs can create are just obscene... and they've certainly got a coach that's good at building a cohesive unit. Few coaches have a championship more impressive than the 2011 championship.

    We tried no rim runner a few years ago and it was a disaster for us. That was obviously just for us. We found that putting pressure early the defense that collapsed on the rim runner helped us out more than not. So we decided to go back to it and it has been great ever since.

  • @HalfCourtHoops

    @HalfCourtHoops

    4 жыл бұрын

    Miami is a hand off into a ballscreen (my term I use), Pistol/21 is a step up screen from the guard into a flare screen from the big, then the big chases into a ballscreen. There is not much difference and if some consider miami another action out of Pistol/21 then I could see that. Pistol/21 is generally a series of actions out of the basic step up screen, where as Miami is a single action. I hope that makes sense!

    10:54 but isn't that just because defenses guard Porzingis and Powell differently? As I see it, Porzingis is a much higher PnP threat, so the defense doesn't leave him open, and Luka drives, whereas with Powell, the opposing big drops toward the basket, and Powell stays open to shoot.

    mavs loose to teams who play "old"basket. You took the best moments out of game but what about wrong situations?? When this "bright" theory doesn`t work?? It is ridiculous to see little man under the rim fighting with 3 or more defenders to get 2p and big Porzingis stay alone on the 3p line like a deer.. It is not the right mode for KP - he is lost, he can be used much efficiency. Practise has proved that and I think he is more satisfied when he act as he has used to do
