I remember that JR and Sue Ellen were the host for Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade. It was so great to see them happy together. JR was asking Sue Ellen what she wanted for Christmas.🤭

More like had he not found out she slept with Ray(he knew it's why he hated Ray the most) and Cliff he might have worked at his second marriage to her but all that and putting John Ross in danger during pregnancy wasn't making her look good. He needed her to be strong and she crumbled under pressure unless it's against him which is how he likes her but he loves her he's like his mother in that. J.R. wasn't like Jock, he was more like his mother and picked Sue Ellen assuming she'd be the strong woman he thought his mother was. But when they didn't have kids for years and her drinking he resented her like he did Miss Ellie when he found out she wasn't as strong as she made out to be either, a reflection of himself. J.R. was basically a quarter Jock and the rest was his mother without pleasant pretenses.

@@TheGreatVictorNewman I have to disagree there. JR never found out that Ray slept with Sue Ellen at least it was never stated. JR and Ray were still good pals even after Sue Ellen slept with Ray. Their relationship of pal’s ended with Garnet the country western singer that was Ray’s girlfriend and he caught her in bed with J.R. But their relationship worsen even more when it came out that he was the 4th brother and Ray in JR’s eyes was always going to be a bastard child. Then of course the whole Mickey thing later on, but I don’t see JR more like Miss Ellie especially Jock. Ellie said to JR, “You’re power hungry like your father, but he had redeeming qualities.” JR was one to admit a fault but would go back and do it again and again. That’s what made him a scary individual. Lol

@@a.b.s_productions The writers declared that J.R. knows everything hence he knew about Ray and Cliff with Sue Ellen. And they would know they wrote him. He just never mentioned it. Only amplified his haterd of Ray and tormented Sue Ellen more.

All of the pool scenes were filmed on the ranch in Texas. They were outside. They never filmed in the house because it was too small, though. They had a soundstage❤ in Hollywood for that.

I liked how they kept the storyline that JR really love Sue Ellen-somewhere in his money lovin' head. But, this was how I grew up-wanting to put on earrings in the evening (even since I don't have pierced ears-hee hee). Being dressed nice. It is good to appreciate oneself. Doesn't seem logical and this is just a soap opera from the "80's. But,
